Finished up meetings on the west...

Finished up meetings on the west side of downtown Friday afternoon and decided it was too late to go back to the office and too late to make it up to Follies - so off to Fulton Industrial I headed. There are several "dive" type clubs in a cluster just off Fulton Ind. I decided to try two of them, though I have been to Fannies on one other occasion. I am not going to write a review for Reilly's because I was only there for 15minutes.

Fannies is on the lower side of the cluster and looks like a hole in the wall. The club feels like it sits in the basement of another building. Parking was okay and free at 3:30pm. (For those who have never ventured to the area, it is a bit sketchy, especially compared to the nicer downtown and northside clubs)

The "bar stage" greats... literally as you walk in the door and you walk a narrow path to get to the main seating area. This is a small "dive" type club though they do a good job with service and overall cleanliness for an older club. Check your seat before you sit down since 50% of the cushions are torn or worse. The single waitress working is very efficient and easily covered the 7-8 customers present. On occasion, she would take off her top and bra for a customer. I'm not sure if it is part of a promotion for sale of a specific cocktail, but that would be my guess. She isn't bad for a 36-40 yr old gal... and she's very friendly.
