I have been to The Colorado...

I have been to The Colorado a few times with my husband in the past few weeks. We usually go during the day for the $8 burger deal and the $5 you-call-its (which is actually $5.50 with tax). So there is no cover if you get there before 5pm, so that is a plus. And the drinks are $5.50 (with tax) but they are weak! The other day I had three buttery nipple shots, within a 20 minute time frame and a couple of their signature drinks. I felt nothing - and I am a light weight when it comes to drinking. Not tipsy AT ALL. Would love to sit at the bar sometime, and see how the drinks get poured. I am betting the liquor is measured with teaspoons. I assumed it was became the drinks were only $5. More on that later. Their food is pretty good. And there are good deals on food during the day. There are definitely WAY less girls during the day - and they will not come to our table when I (female) am there. If my husband goes on a day that I am at work, with his buddy - they are all over him. Still - my husband has a few favorites that are there during the day.

So last week, we went on a Saturday night for "Couples Night". Great special. Cover for 2, 2 food items (your choice) and 2 drinks (your choice) -for $25.00. Saw lots of different girls at night. Only saw 1 or 2 that we recognized from during the day. Great variety of girls in the evening - I like that. And a few actually approached us at our table. I got a good lesson from one of them (Jade) about why the girls are leery about approaching a table with a man AND woman. But in the end, we were able to get LD's from 4 girls and they all let me watch (which is what I am into).

Now - about those drinks. I had TWO Vegas Bombs - which the waitress swore I would feel. NOTHING. NADA. I am just glad they were included with our "Couples Night Special". If I had to pay $12.75 for those - I would be pissed.

They do have a sort of "un-advertised" special. Michelob for $4.50 - Big, Tall glass. I have got to learn to drink beer.
