After reading reviews I wanted to experience the Blue Moon, so dropped by after the Hi-Liter on my way back to the hotel. Missed the parking lot on the first try and had to come back around. Going in I saw a dancer outside who looked like she was on the meth diet. I probably should have taken that as a sign but soldiered on. Went in, paid the $12 cover charge and...wow. Just wow. Knew the place was a dive but this was above and beyond what I'm use to (and my baseline is the Block in Baltimore so I've got a high tolerance). There is no bar. It's literally a small room with some chairs and tables, and a couple of couches in the back. Three dancers and maybe three other patrons -- and it looked like two of those were a dancer's boyfriend and his homeboy. Two dancers were fatties, one had too much ink for my taste, and then we had the meth head. And the dancers doubling as the waitresses, I've never seen that before. I sat down hoping things would improve. They didn't. Time in club: 30 minutes. Grand total spend in the club: $6. Maybe the afternoon is the time to come here, but I can't see myself ever going back here at night.
