Visited: Monday Evening

Okay, so I should know better than to go to a club on a Monday night, but I was in town for business and had the evening off and was looking for some entertainment. So I drive over to The Pony and there are about 8 cars in the lot. I really had to think about whether to go in or not because I figure 4-5 cars for the girls, 1 for the attendant, and 1 for the house mom. But hey, I was there already and maybe I get a lot of attention because what stripper wouldn't want to make a few bucks from a nicely dressed, paying customer who is buying $25 table dances on a slow night? Right?! I had a stack of benjamins in my pocket hoping for a fun night. So I go in and pay the $13 cover (can't see the floor from the cash register), I walk into the club and there are no girls on stage nor anywhere in sight. I sit down and wait for a few minutes sipping on my Diet Coke. Still no girls anywhere even though the cashier is well aware I am there. House mom walks through, says hi, goes into the back where the girls are and I figure she is headed in there to tell them they have a paying customer. Instead, house mom walks out followed by a line of 4-5 girls to the Exit. The cashier joins them and I am left alone in the club with the entire empty place to myself. They didn't say hi, they didn't say "Welcome to the Pony", they didn't say "F U", nothing. They decided this would be a great time for a group smoke break, even though they have the only paying customer of the night sitting there ready for a dance or at least some conversation like you might do if you were customer focused. So, I walked out through the exit, past the smoking bunch of them and not one of them said "bye" or "thanks for stopping in" or "Wait! Please come back. We're almost done with our mandatory smoke break". Nothing. Just silence and they watched me walk to my car and leave. Bottom line. Even on a busy night, I won't be back because I think I got the message from the Pony. It has something to do with "We don't give a crap about customers".
