Ah, Bourbon Street, I used to...
Ah, Bourbon Street, I used to love you. A lot. But you are changing, and not for the better (in my opinion). I suspect the high rating reviews are coming from guys with lower expectations (and that's okay; it's their perspective and opinion).
The dances - you used to see a lot of dances on the floor, but this seems to be very rare any more. Everyone seems to be making a quick upsell to VIP, with many dancers saying they don't do dances on the floor at all. It's not a matter of money; I have spent many nights in the champagne room for $1,500 or more. I just like to feel out a dancer a little, and it gives my wife a chance to see how comfortable the dancer is with a woman.
The dancers - not what they used to be by a long shot. BCS used to have very high standards, and we are now seeing dancers who never would have been here a few years ago. Variety is fine, and there is someone for everyone. I just want the old BCS standards back. I realize the industry seems to be in a slow downturn, and maybe the selection of hotter girls just isn't there. But it's hard to do here on a weekend night and not really find anyone particularly appealing. On a positive note, there are still some talented pole artists here. On a negative note, that doesn't always translate into lap dancing skills - sigh.
