Since this is the first review, I'll give a bunch of information plus a bit of comparison to some of the competition.

The Lido Room is one of several private lap dance clubs that pop up around Manhattan, focusing mostly on a local, repeat clientele. All of these have some elements in common, including cover charges (often discounted early, with groups, etc.), affordable lap dances ($20 is typical), and locations in odd places (everything from restaurant party rooms to otherwise-closed nightclubs. So far, most of the ones I've seen operate limited days Tues-Friday, and the Lido is no exception (they seem to be stretching out to Tues-Thurs). Also, almost all of these clubs have a cash bar, a private area where the lap dances happen, and a relatively crowded "mingling" space where you can meet the dancers.

On the Wed. night I visited (around 10pm) there were perhaps 10-15 dancers and not very many clients. A mix of backgrounds and looks, and several that were quite attractive. I had dances with three of the dancers. One was nice, but we didn't quite click. The second was a definite ROB (started 10 seconds before the end of a song and charged me for the song). Hot blonde with great looks and no dance quality. The third (I almost left before connecting with her) was fantastic -- good mix of pace. Overall, I didn't see (or seek or get offered) any extras, and the dancers varied from cautious to engaged. No problems with hands-on, though little use of dancer's hands, etc. A pleasant place to kill an hour or two without spending much.
