Before walking in, I went to the ATM down the block. It starting spitting bills into the wind before I could grab them. I damned near lost $40 that way. It was a sign, and I should have heeded it.

This place is probably fine if you want to drink an overpriced beer while waiting for traffic to clear out after a Colts game, and the girls who work there are reasonably good looking. But if you are looking or a decent strip club, keep looking. The Red Garter seems to be primarily geared to fleece out-of-town visitors who are unlikely to come back regardless.

This was my visit: $5 cover, another $5 for a beer, plus a tip. Then I watched and tipped at the stage for a few songs. Found a girl to my liking, and she came and sit for a bit, gave a $5 half-song floor dance. I don't think that is technically on the menu there, but it was an enticement to try the $20/song area in back. Big mistake. One of the bouncers came back and stood in the doorway staring the whole song -- not checking to make sure nothing untoward was going on but flat-out staring. Creepy and not enjoyable, but then again, maybe some people are into that kind of thing.
