I stopped into the Red Garter...

I stopped into the Red Garter around 8:00 PM on a Friday night. A girl was in the parking lot smoking and we made some small talk and she invited me into the club. She said there was only two girls there, but she would make it worth while. There was no cover charge and I walked into a very dark club. The bar is near the enterance. The bartended asked me if I wanted a drink so I stopped at the bar. I think the two dancers were in the back of the club at a table. I order a domestic beer and it was $8.50-no wonder there is no cover. This is high even for Vagas and NYC standards. I remained at the bar for about 45 minutes and the bartender seem to talk constantly. Telling me his "life" story. The girls in the back never came up to the bar to ask for a drink or to see if I wanted a dance.

Perhaps it was early but the club was empty, there was one other guy setting at the bar. During the 45 minutes one other customer came in and was shocked at the cost of a beer. I think he did go to the back of the club and got a lap dance. During my time there was a zero party atmosphere. Unless things are different later on, I would not return to this club. Bottom line: (1) Drinks are too expensive, (2) Girls don't seem to be concerned about making some money. (3) Bartender goes on and on about himself and his life struggles. This was a real downer. I doubt that I would return.
