The club has a new name,...
The club has a new name, but this old roadhouse has been around since U.S. 40 of front was a main thoroughfare and I-70, or rather the Kansas turnpike, a mile away didn't exist and entertainers plied their trade in cabins, now gone, behind the club.
Some physical incremental physical improvements to the tavern. But anyone who has been in the last 40 years will still recognize the two-room set-up with bar in the west entry room and stage, tables and (this is new) private dancing booth in the east room.
Drinks are cheap. I had a coke for $2. The two girls dancing were slightly above average. It was a couple of weeks ago, so they are probably gone. This isn't a destination job for those in the show business. I didn't bring a lot of cash or have a lot of time. The girl I tipped on stage showed more than causal gratitude for the gesture. I got a $10 dance. It was OK. She promised more, especially if we made the walk to VIP.
Will I go back? Almost certainly, when I'm once again traveling the backroads with time to kill.
