Returned to my old favorite Ruby's...
Returned to my old favorite Ruby's last night. In prior reviews I described the club and it's layout. It really does have the feel of a neighborhood bar. They get to know you even if you aren't there every week. I think it has something to do with the fact that you can leave a bottle there. Anyway, with that comes some friendships. I would say that over the years I've had more than 15 girls who became real friends. It wasn't just about lap dances (some of them I never even had a dance with) it was more about hanging out and having conversations. Unfortunately there is often drama at stripclubs. Let's face it. It's not your "normal" career choice. Anyway this place has it's flare ups periodically. Usually between 2 girls fighting over a customer or something else of insignificance. Unfortunately some of these girls get fired for it. This has been happening more often. In the last month Alex and Luna had a row, and Naomi and Julianna did as well. I knew Alex and Naomi quite well, really nice girls, and both solid 8's or better. They both got canned. It really hurt the homey feel of this place when the just fire girls who have a following. Often it's hard to tell why one gets fired, but not another. I suspect that the ones that grant the owner Richie favors get favorable treatment.<br>
Anyway this brings me back to last night. There were fewer girls than normal, and the average score was about a 3. Naomi used to work night and she would have raised the average significantly! I really don't like losing there friends. Unless you have their digits, you don't get a forwarding address, and probably worse, you can't replace an 8 or 9 with a 2 or 3! Why not just give the combatants some time off , and they'll come back without the drama?- especially the cute ones with a following. If this stuff continues Ruby's will lose that "homey" feel and I'm sure it will hurt business.
