This review is a few weeks overdue, but whatever. Let me begin by stating that I am not a fan of Deja Vu clubs to begin with, but a group of friends convinced me to come with them after a night of drinking. Mistake 1: going to the club with other people. Mistake 2: Going to a Deja Vu club. The layout of the club is awkward, having to enter from First by a sex shop and up some stairs. Inside the club is pretty nice, if dated. The chairs and tables are old and worn, and the room is divided into two areas, with the main seating and dancing area on one side and the private dance and second stage are on the other. The girls this night were super pushy. Maybe it was because we were all dressed up, or maybe it was just towards the end of their shift, but I couldn't turn without having tits shoved in my face and being asked to go to the back. I declined continuously, as I wasn't really in the mood, and I hate high-pressure strippers. I also know enough to not expect anything great from Vu clubs. I prefer high-mileage places like the Sands or Pandoras, where you can take in the show, but are almost guaranteed to walk out lighter and happier. The dancers were ok in the looks department, but seemed older and more tired than one normally expects from Deja Vu. My friend ended up buying me a lap dance from a tattooed, heavier, kinda bookish looking chick, and it ranked among my worst lappers ever. Even worse, every time I went out on the street to smoke, I was constantly harassed by homeless guys for money.
