Chalet is now called Angel's, although...

Chalet is now called Angel's, although I think it's still owned/operated by the same woman. Been there a couple of times, and that's enough for me. It's a small dive, with a $5 cover charge and reasonable prices for drinks. The bar's in front, with a jukebox across from it, and dancing in the back, with private dances ($20 per) off in a small corner. The place is dark and frankly a bit depressing; there are usually one or two decent-looking girls working, but the rest are thirtysomethings on whom life has been hard. A good attitude can make up for that, and I met a couple who were pleasant, but some aren't even fun to be around. Basically, the club's for women who wish they could be dancing at JB's or the Gallery but who had to settle for Angel's. If you're in the Murphysboro area and don't feel like driving a whole seven miles to DeSoto for some fine a**, and you're not picky, this is the place.
