Friday evening in May

Returned to JB's Place after a few months since my last visit.

The place has not changed - large building well outside of town, about 15 minutes from Carbondale/5 minutes from DeSoto, not well lit highway with woods. The building is split in two, with the right being a traditional bar (empty every time I have been there) and the left the dancing portion.

A $5 cover is paid right on entry, and a square bar is up front with a handful of stools around it. Bartenders use a door in between the two sections to periodically grab bottles/cups/etc from the other side. DJ booth is just to the left on entry, then a low ceilinged stage with a ring of chairs and worn out couches against the walls.
