Imagine if Uday and Qusay Hussein...

Imagine if Uday and Qusay Hussein were to design a strip club . . .it would end up looking like the Kingdom Gentleman's Club. Golden lions abound and the decor is mirrored, golden fantasy. The atmosphere is over-the-top as is the sound system, which is deafening. After climbing a set of stairs to the second floor, you run the gauntlet of an admission girl, a coat check girl and the bouncer who shows you to your seat all of whom are looking for a tip. I have never been in the club when there were lots of patrons, it always struck me as odd that the number of girls, the high end decor doesn't match the number of clients.

The club is located on Montreal's Main, the former red light district which has now being gentrified and cleaned up. The club is just up the street close to the Cafe Cleopatra strip club. The Kingdom is the exact opposite of the more casual, laid back, and some say seedy, atmosphere of Cleo's.

The girls are attractive, but always on the hustle encouraging patrons for a bed dance, or a bottomless dance. The mileage varies, but in most cases the girls give outstanding lap dances.

If you go to the Kingdom, be sure to bring plenty of cash, the burn rate is high and don't forget your ear plugs. It isn't the most friendly, or accommodating club in Montreal, but it is unique and worth a brief visit.
