Went to this club between 9:30...

Went to this club between 9:30 and 10:30 on a Tuesday night. Bought the $40 VIP access for both the Fare Club and next door at Cabaret Royale. Not worth it. The place was dead. When I first went in there were no dancers in the downstairs area and only background music playing (no DJ). Upstairs at the VIP room I could here one or two girls talking to customers in the darker corners of the club, but didn't want to lurk so I couldn't tell what they were doing (if anything). Kept going back every half hour or so, and eventually found one spinner Asian dancing on stage. Not my type. There were about four guys down stairs, one that had a case of buds. The atmosphere was really dead, and this was my first BYOB club experience. The whole thing felt kind of cheap compared to a full alcohol club.

Physically, the downstairs area is pretty spartan. Upstairs is a little nicer, but overall the decorations are a bit dated looking. Everything was relatively clean.

I understand that the club is great, so my low review is probably just a reflection to not go there early on a Tuesday night. I've heard rumors that dancers from other clubs stop by after their clubs close down at 2 pm, so maybe that's the time to go. I had a business meeting the next day and couldn't stay.
