First Time (of many?)

First club ever for me as well as for my partner. I was scouting places in the area for an establishment I felt would be a good first option and found The Lodge to fit that bill. It felt through photos online that it was a higher-end place. Whether that's true or not, time will tell, as it's impossible to judge one place having seen no others but for a first visit, it met all of my expectations and more.

Parking was available for valet but we opted instead to park in the well-lit lot across the street and make the short walk. Though I was tempted to splurge, I felt it best to park for free and to save the money for once we got inside. Upon entering, the young lady behind the counter asked if we were a part of the group. Of course, this being my first conversation in a club and only imaging the conversation to focus on the fee for admission (should there be one), I was ill-prepared for this question. We said no, that we were on our own, and she said entry was $10 per person. The group would be found in the middle room but we are welcome to tour the place and find what area best suits our needs.

Then we entered the inner sanctum and proceeded to walk the floor from the front to the rear of the building to get a sense of the size and available spaces before we settled on where to sit. The vibe was relaxing as we glided through the first room within sight of the massive bar to our right and the main and second stages to our left. When we entered the second room we found the party, the group the girl had referred to and waded our way through to the back room which had few people but plenty of cozy spots to hang out. My partner decided we should head back to the main stage area so we wandered back through and found a two-top on the second level, just a couple steps up from the main floor with a good view of the room, the stages, and the crowd.
