The Body Shop has been kind...
The Body Shop has been kind of in flux for some time. Pressures from local politicians, competition from the nude clubs in Iowa, and other factors have meant a lot of inconsistency. The strict"no touch" policy seems to be loosening up somewhat, particularly in the VIP rooms. Depending on the night of the week you can expect to see anywhere from three to eight dancers a shift, which isn't bad for a fairly small club. Dancers are mostly girl-next-door, pretty single-mom types, with a few notable exceptions. One of my favorites "Jersey" is a real standout, worth the price of the five dollar cover. Drink prices are reasonable, especially if you take advantage of nightly specials. It's a pretty low-key place, without a lot of constant "wanna dance?" pressure. On slow nights it's not uncommon for dancers to spend a lot of time with patrons without regard for tipping. You can have a pretty entertaining night without bankrupting yourself. It is worth checking out, and as previous reviewers have noted it is the only local club with a full service bar. Things seem to be on an upswing, so it's worth a try.
