I made my first visit to the Sundowner on a Sunday evening, arriving at 9PM. I had a decent time, but was not overwhelmed by either the place or the dancers. I'm sure that the Sunday visit was part of the issue. The cover was only $5 and the beers were expensive at something like $8 or $9 per with tip.

The lack of paper money of less than $5 makes the stage tipping somewhat rare and the atmosphere is laid back as a result. There were a couple of guys that laid down on the stage to tip. The dancer then gyrates over the top of them while nude. If you haven't seen this, it is interesting. I only saw one horseshow dance off to he side with two girls pretending to go at each other.

I had dances with five ladies. The first was the first girl that came up to me and offered and her first dance was very boring so I did not opt for any more. She seemed offended and tried hard to talk me into more. She made a point to not look at me the rest of the night when she walked by. The other four were the four best looking dancers in the place on this night. Three were from Toronto and they worked there during the week and here on the weekends. I got the impression that they liked the fact that his club did not allow extras which are common in Toronto.
