OPENING REMARKS: Well, unlike the nearby phoney-baloney Green Door, this IS a swingers club, it's just a d@mn empty one. My visit was a supreme waste of time. I would give it a second shot, but only during the most peak weekend hours, when there might actually be a couple dozen people in it. And they'd have to cut me a sweet deal on the door fee to get me to do that.
THE FACTS OF THE CASE: In the Commercial Center strip mall, just a few blocks east of the currently dark Sahara casino property on East Sahara Avenue. Accordingly this can be a cheap, quick cab ride from the Strip. Even at 5am in the morning, there was a queue of several cabs waiting to try to catch a fare out of this place, though they queued up at the very far end of the mall. The Commercial Center is a well aged, low-rent square-shaped strip mall where all the properties face inward toward one another, rather than facing out to the streets. Though it's low-rent, there are other venues of interest to Vegas tourists inside Commercial Center, including Lotus of Siam (once considered the best Thai in town), The Green Door (a much larger lifestyle venue, reviewed) and Badlands Saloon, a teeny-weeny gay bar.
Unlike most swinger clubs in America, this venue does not limit, quota, exclude or stigmatize single males. The same is true for the other three major pay-at-the-door Vegas swingers clubs: The Green Door, The Power Exchange & The Red Rooster. Single males need only pay the heavy single male door fee and stroll on in.
