I spent a week in Phoenix...

I spent a week in Phoenix in early December and had an opportunity to revisit my old haunts. This compares my 3 favorite places from years gone by when I lived there. There’s no real place in TUSCL for such a comparison, so I’ll put it on all three clubs.

Next was Bourbon Street on a Tuesday, after the Monday at Christie’s. What a difference. $8 to get in, $6 drinks, $10 floor dances, twice that in VIP. The place was packed early, no doubt the best list of dancers in the state. Very laid back, friendly attitude, no hassles, no pushiness. The only bouncer activity I noticed was when somebody put their shoes on a chair or was obviously taking smart phone photos.

The dancers all wanted to get you into the VIP area, which was packed almost to a waiting line, but were just as happy to stay on the main floor. The mini-sofas surrounding it gave just about as good a dance as VIP, although the dancers wouldn’t admit it. Bourbon Street deserves and gets Phoenix top billing in my book. I went back on Friday and it was even better.
