This was a cavernous club but...

This was a cavernous club but not on the same size level as Tootsie’s. When I arrived at 9:30 on a rainy Saturday night, there were only about 7 dancers but that number grew to 20 dancers as the night progressed. It was the same with the customers; at 9:30 I was one of a few customers but gradually the place got more crowded, probably topping out at over 50 customers when I left. Cover charge was a mere $5, parking was free and spacious, and drinks were relatively cheap. Lap dances were the typical $25 each but the lap dance area is not private and is noisy, and the bouncers keep close watch of the lap dances. The club itself has two stages and is set up in a “L” formation, with one semicircular stage and another stage surrounding the square bar. The lights are colorful, the tv screens are numerous and show various sporting events, and the sound system decent. However, the music is a strange blend of heavy metal, techno/house/rap, and Spanish music.

Similarly, the dancers are virtually all Hispanic and Black with perhaps one or two Caucasian dancers. In general, the dancers are out of shape and unattractive (2s to 4s), although I did find two 7s/8s right as I was about to leave which saved the night. The dancers strangely solicit dollar tips after each dance set which, while normal in Miami-Dade, is unheard of in most parts of the country. But given that everything is really cheap (including the cover), I was happy to oblige.

The decor is clean and since the place is spacious, I felt relaxed at my table. The waitresses did not constantly ask me to buy another drink as at many Miami clubs. The dancers were happy to talk to customers, but some were obnoxious, and most spoke to everyone initially in Spanish and only reverted to English if you told them you were not fluent in the language. Spanish should not be the first language spoken since the club is in the United States (though some dancers told me Miami was not part of the US, which I found difficult to argue against). In general, however, despite the solid dollar value, I would not return to this club because of the low dancer quality.
