For those on a flying visit to London,why not try a strip pub - not your normal Spearmint Rhino experience. The London strip pubs are unpretentious but offer down to earth blue collar entertainment for a reasonable price. Some are disgusting, a very few are smart, most are basic. Try the Woolpack (basic)- a taxi ride from the Heathrow hotels – and if that doesn’t appeal walk around the back to Inhibitions (smart)– they are both on the same site. The Woolpack looks rough & threatening on the outside but I have hardly ever seen any trouble - act cool and there will be no problem. Act tough and ... Don’t dress up unless you plan to go Inhibitions . Pub attire = jeans, T shirt, sneakers. Inhibitions = smart casual , formal shoes. The pubs offer a reasonable nude stage show for a 1GBP contribution. This is paid up front as they come round with a collecting pot (jug). London strippers are generally not good pole dancers but at least the pub show is better than the laughable effort you get at Stringfellows. Girls are mostly Brazilian - a few lookers, most OK, the rest should find another job. Portuguese or Spanish speakers might be on to a winner. The Woolpack and a few other London pubs offer a genuine lap dance – again you won’t find this at Stringfellows or Spearmint, regardless of what the flyers might say. For 10GBP its amazing value .The problem is the Woolpack has only 1 VIP room – more a cupboard the size of postage stamp - so you may have to wait awhile until its free. If none of the girls take your fancy , step into the pool room and give the local hot shot a game. The dancers don’t collect their stage show money here. The same girls tend to appear next door in Inhibitions. Use of the car park costs 1 GBP ( I have shown this as a mandatory valet service - but you have to park your own car ! ). Bar prices – standard for the area and significantly less than any central London pub or club. Bottle of Bud 3.50GBP , pint of beer 3.20GBP.

ATM on site but doesn't often work ! - charge around 2.50GBP. The dancers are supplied by an agency ( Lorraines ) which publishes a schedule - so if you plan to stay for a few days you could catch your new found favourite in a number of pubs in London.

I usually go on Friday late afternoon around 6pm - shift change at 7pm.
