Formerly known as Venus, after a brief period as a Burlesque show, the club has kept the name but is back to its lap-dancing model. It has retained a quality atmosphere – leather bucket chairs around a single central stage, two bars, a series of curtained off VIP spaces around the edge of the mid-sized room. Overall clean, with prompt but not pushy service. Early nights of the week tend to be quiet; in January I visited a couple of times and was one of a handful of customers. Six or so girls were working on each occasion.

The girls are of good to high appearance, a mix of Eastern European, Italian and English. Given the relatively small number of customers, it was good not to immediately have the girls descend on a new client. All were ready to chat and explain the terms for dances: a dance at your chair on the main floor for £20, and ‘VIP’ dacnes in the curtained rooms around the floor – these seemed to be better value than the advertised single ‘more private’ dance for £40 – I got either two dances or even three for £40. Plus the privacy did allow for more contact (within reason). No sense of being hurried, no hassle from the friendly staff. A constant flow of girls takig two dance turns at the pole centre stage, so plenty to watch between private dances. VIP rooms with champagne and an hour for a price I never bothered enquiring.

I would note a number of the girls from a couple of visits: Italian Mallory, a slim tanned and enjoyably rhymthmic dancer, chatty Tamara from Poland more busty, tall Amelia another Italian girl – apparently legs don’t stop growing in Sardinia, Chantelle a local London girl with a butterfly tattoo that you will believe can fly, and Andrea, a slim surfer from Romania, and my personal 10.
