Got there on a Friday night,...
Got there on a Friday night, January 21, 2011, having left a very boring Roxanne's in Kitchener, and to my chagrin there are only a handful of relatively unattractive dancers. And old ones at that! I complain to the bouncer and he says that there's a shortage of dancers in the area and only six working tonight. There were five or six girls making a living in the VIP lounge on top of the six that kept the stage occasionally busy. I suspect the "freelancers" were making a killing in the lounge, while the oldsters beat it out on stage. A couple of female customers stage dived providing interesting lesbo action, although it did have a faint whiff of being staged. Nonetheless, for the four dollar cover charge and a further ten dollars for access to the VIP, it was a total disappointment. The bouncer said that it was different than other clubs and still worth the charges: that you could touch the dancers in this club and that the chairs were very cushy and deeply padded - all true - but I've been around the block a few times and this was a terrible, I repeat, terrible strip club experience. Management needs to give their head a shake. That said, I love sitting back in those plush chairs - best of any club I've been in yet. IMO, they're potentially worth the four dollar cover charge, depending on how far you've driven to get to the club. That charge is up since I last visited in 2008, when it was three dollars.
