I've been to Torps several times, and it's always pretty much the same. The Russian dollar parade is constantly in full effect. Generally 15 min sets, and the girls will make the rounds once or twice after that. I'd say about 75% of the girls are Russian, and of the others, you get a mix of black, latin, and white. The Russian agency will shift girls from here to some other clubs up further north like Sunrise in Paterson. Girls will stop by and chat with the regulars, but for the most part, if you want a private dance, you have to track the girl down and ask for it. They do serve food (reasonably priced and not terrible, either). There are also pool tables in the back behind the bar. At night, shot girls will make the rounds as well with $3 watered down drinks. If you're looking for more than a beer with a view (for about $25/hr), the time to come is Tuesdays, when they run a 2 for $25 lap dance special. The dances themselves are hit-or-miss, I find. The LD area is in it's own separate room with what used to be a bar and a bunch of partitioned booths. The booths themselves only have three walls and open to the bar area, where the bouncer (who collects the cash and times the dances) sits. The contact is normally mostly one way if the bouncer's watching, but if you go when it's slow, dude will sometimes wander out. The Ruskies tend to be fairly mechanical, but there are some gems. Kitty, who is normally there on Tuesdays, an American brunette with a huge rack (and she knows how to use 'em) is one of the few worth getting a dance from. There was also an older American woman who I only saw once during the day a couple months back that was a lot more liberal in the ld area. Got her number after, but she'd changed it by the time I called. Missed opportunity. This place is a totally different vibe from Oh La La's, which is definitely an older crowd (girls and patrons).
