I was passing through to Montreal...

I was passing through to Montreal last week, and thought I'd give this place a try. It was about 8:00 on a Saturday night and really pretty dead. There were about six or eight guys around the bar (cute barmaid!), a couple of dancers working the floor, and no one on stage. And I mean no one. Ever.

On my way to the bar I crossed paths with a gorgeous black dancer, and made my mind up to have some dances with her. I sat down, had a few sips from my beer, and was approached by an older but good-looking blonde. I explained that I was waiting for her colleague, and she was very cool about it, saying that she should be back out in a few minutes. Unfortunately she never re-appeared.

So I ended up spending a strange half-hour, waiting for a disappearing dancer, with no-one on stage, and an infuriatingly futile sign advertising $10 dances.
