Couple friendly in Vegas?
No, sir. Honest. My GF is ... curious, as they say. I figure I get one shot at this, so I want to make it as good as possible.

Super Bowl Predictions
Somewhat unrelated, but thinking about KC vs. the Rams... I still think the winner of the Rams-Cardinals series should get a Gateway Arch trophy. (No, it ain't right, but it'd be funny as hell.)

For those who been around for awhile has the world always been this depressing?
Sorry. Hit the wrong button. Anyway, no, it hasn't always been this depressing, for a variety of reasons. And frankly, it doesn't *have* to be this depressing now, but ... that revolution will need to find someone else to lead it. Keep the faith, Rusty Retired librarian America's last moderate

Terrible things have always been happening. But prior to about 40 years ago, we didn't know about them in real time. Global communication, Internet access, etc.; we really can know what's happening from Jakarta to Jacksonville instantly. And ... We've become more dogmatic, polarized on both sides. This "I'm right, you're wrong, go shoot yourself ya jackass" mentality that people from *every* political angle have... It's made it impossible to be just plain kind to someone who you don't agree with. It's more important now to be right than it is to be nice, moreso now than any other time in my 50+ years of walking around this rock. All that rage, honestly, is exhausting. I'm not calling any one person or group out. I know just as many intolerant Americans on the left and on the right.
