Book guy - So I am not a seasoned civil liberties attorney but I am a lapsed criminal defense attorney. You have good points, but if you are ever in this situation raise them with your attorney - not with the officers conducting the raid. They are not there to argue or explain, they are doing a job. Your best chance of staying out of trouble is to let them do it. If you are detained, respectfully ask for a lawyer and let them do the talking. I can’t address the release of scanned id information to the press, not my field. I can say that if the info is lawfully seized pursuant to warrant it will be admissible as evidence in a subsequent proceeding. But if things ever got that far hopefully you have competent counsel (not a random guy on TUSCL).

Agree with both. Sit quietly and do as you’re told as long as you are part of the crowd. If you are singled out ask if you are being detained. If you are asked questions decline to answer until you have spoken to a lawyer. Do not try to talk your way out of it. ALWAYS treat the officers with respect and courtesy. NEVER raise your hand or voice to them. In all likelihood you will be allowed to leave, so go home and be grateful.

A while back I spent some time with a very voluptuous GGR dancer named Sasha. If it’s the same one VIP is absolutely worth it. Don’t know her sched though. Sorry.

Lily I think but I may be wrong. I talked to her for a bit. She was genuine as a person but as a dancer ok.

Very disturbing. I've never been a regular at Vics but have had some good experiences there. Will check it out again sometime.

I’ve had the same experience. Clancy’s is a local, so everyone seems to know each other. I think you have to take the initiative to get their attention.

Regulars may know different, but they didn’t seem to have VIP in the sense of get a room and whatever you can negotiate. They referred to the lap dance area as VIP.

I’m sorry, my hearing is not great and I didn’t get it.

I’m also an old white guy. Have had some good times at Vic’s and sometimes no action at all, but agree it’s more of an insider/outsider thing than a race thing.

I’ve had that exact same experience at Clancy’s, but I’ve also had a good time. If you’re not a regular it’s very hit or miss. FYI the dance room in the back has zero privacy, just to manage expectations if you do get back there.

Agree it’s not like it used to be, but I have been a couple times recently and got party atmosphere maybe half the time. Vic’s and VIP are my regulars. Both somewhat inconsistent, so I start at Vic’s and if there’s no action go to VIP.

Try Vic’s. 1/3 if that.

VIP was $100 to the house a couple months ago. Yes, the whole entrance at the back of the stage thing is kind of weird, but the room was large, nicely lit, and clean. Worth the money.

You say that like it’s a bad thing . . . I can’t disagree with your description, but a dive bar with dirty women doing dirty things is what I llke. YMMV

A few months ago I visited at night and was extremely disappointed. Have not been back since I don’t live in the area so may have changed, YMMV.

Interesting we were only a few days apart. I had a good time but I’ve had these “blah” visits too.
