Fat, drunk and stupid is no way to go through life
Sketch Artists in Club
In London there is a monthly life drawing class at The White Horse, Shoreditch, where a closed off part of the venue is taken over by artists drawing pole dancers in action. The drawing bit is not my cup of tea but I think it is great that the striptease industry is reaching out to a different audience. http://www.meetup.com/Life-Drawing-at-The-White-Horse/ "Come and draw from actual live pole-dancers while they perform at The White Horse, Shoreditch, Hackney's first strip club to open it's doors to artists, illustrators, painters, sketchers, doodlers, and anyone else who would like to have a go at drawing from life... in a unique setting! The dancers at The White Horse are among the best in London, and will be showing off their skills on the pole. We are inviting a whole new audience of visual artists to come and draw these amazing performers as they do their thing. All levels are welcome, same for gender. Materials will be provided, and we are very privileged to announce that tuition will be given, by Liz Ranken, associate artist at the Royal Shakespeare Company. £12 per person per class, £10 for students. Limited spaces available."

What's the general difference between American,Canadian and Mexican customer and
Can't comment on the difference between N American countries but the key differences to my mind between US and UK venues are: UK clubs are (too) closely regulated by local government which makes them quite sterile and one dimensional. All are officially no contact, in practice mainly limited one way contact or strict 3 foot table dance venues. Most are in city centres and really operating in a similar market place as dance clubs. In the US the approach and attitude of local government and Police is highly variable even within local areas. i.e. highly regulated citys and limited or no regulation beyond the city limits. Clubs tend to be in industrial type areas, not mixed in with general nightlife. This leads to lots of local variation in "the rules": high contact/no contact, alcohol/no alcohol, fully nude/topless/pasties. UK: Escorting perfectly legal and easy to find means guys looking seriously looking for paid sex probably wouldn't really bother with strip clubs. US: All forms of prostitution illegal, means strip clubs can often end up as cover for paid sexual encounters. Read this site for plenty of evidence of this!! I think your main issue is securing the neccessary visa to work in the USA. Trying to work without one is a recipe for working the kind of dive bar you probably want to avoid. If you can get in then an english accent can probably mitigate against expectations of increased mileage. Most Americans are not used to encounters with people from outside the US, with the exception of Latino countries, especially away from the coasts. Stripperweb will almost certainly have members who have been dancers in the UK and US, that can give the info. that matters to you.

Meals in USA and Canada's strip clubs
There is another London strip venue that serves food. It is The Victoria, near Heathrow. They mainly do curry/Indian food. The place is quite unique as it is more of a daytime place with walkabout dances rather than stage, and very different to the typical British club.

The Worst Kind of Strip Club Customers
As a customer in both the US and UK this thread demonstrates how divided we are by our common language. In England discretionary tipping is limited and not really an established thing in clubs. So Rose's earnings probably only come from selling £20.00 dances, A 30 minute VIP would basically be an extended sit down combined with some dances, she might get a cut out of selling champagne. A guy who might find her interesting to talk to but isn't interested in buying dances wouldn't think of tipping for time spent. Stage tipping is non existent. Also, most clubs try and go for an upmarket "gentleman's club" vibe. Clubs usually don't open til 9 or 10pm. From my recent visits to clubs in US (will get round to reviewing soon) there is a lot more of a complex multi-faceted culture going on. Most clubs are very blue collar and prehaps different types of experiences being sold. Girls told me they see a Monday afternoon customer as very different animal to a friday night guy. Personally I'm not really interested in buying sex but from the things I read on this board and certain unsolicited quotes I received in Florida clubs those of you who do go in for this are paying a heavy premium. Legal escorting rates in England are £100-150 per hour i.e. no more than $200.00, although higher in Central London. Those of us who hang out in strip venues do so because we want to buy a fantasy rather than trying to work out how much it is going to cost us to lay the stripper. There will almost certainly be a market for a dancer like Rose in the US but she will need to tread carefully and bring a thick skin. I do prefer the US clubs though because in England no-one really understands what a proper lapdance is.
