In years past I avoided The Block. It's dirty, seedy, and not particularly safe. It's also about an hour's drive from my home. However, during the last several months I've found myself in Baltimore on business or passing through, so I've become a little more comfortable with the area, for better or for worse. Anyway, during those visits I've circulated through most of the clubs on The Block at various times of the day or night, and various days of the week (which is why I didn't list a day or time of my visit). Of all the clubs, I find Club Pussycat has more and better looking girls than any of the other small clubs. They're pretty friendly, usually white, not too pushy, and can become very friendly for the price of a drink. I've occassionally splurged for a dance or two, but usually I just find a girl I like, buy her a drink or two, and take it from there, frequently leading to some mutual groping and grinding. At some point I'm sure I'll take one of the girls into a private room, but for now I enjoy the GFE-style socializing. I used to go to the Hustler Club, but their prices and restrictions increased as the quality of their girls decreased. Scores is the better option for the big club experience. But for smaller clubs with no cover and few rules, I like Club Pussycat.

This was my first visit to Cedar Rapids and only my second to Iowa, the first time being a trip to Des Moines several years ago. As I recall, I went to the Lumber Yard there as well. The LY2 was just okay, a big room with a concrete floor, tables with ice tubs set into the middle for the beers you bring yourself. At one end of the club you step down into an area for private topless dances, or climb the stairs to another area with it's own stage for nude dances. I arrived at about 7:30pm while the first shift was still dancing. There were about six or eight other guys in the club when I arrived, and there was probably never more than twenty or so between the time I arrived and when I left at about 11:00, so the place always looked empty. The dancers were just okay, some were cute but nothing special and no real pigs. I sat at a table away from the stage, but close enough that I could tip the dancers easily. I tipped them all as is my custom, but only a few of them stopped by my table to chat or offer me dances. The cuter ones returned to the same guys they had been sitting with, presumably regulars, but they didn't seem to be getting much action. This is a common occurrence which never ceases to amaze me, but I digress. During the first shift I took a number of dancers up on their offers and got private dances, only one of which was in the nude area upstairs. It only took one visit to confirm that there's nothing special to be seen or had there, so I opted to stick with the topless dances. I did hit it off with one dancer and we talked about hooking up OTC, but I eventually decided against that. The second shift brought some cuter dancers, but they seemed even more disinterested than the first. The one I did take up on a dance gave a lackluster performance, so I ultimately stuffed my $500 back into wallet and left. I think this club may have potential for regulars, but my one visit was pretty boring. I suppose with the right dancer it could be fun (as usual), but I wouldn't go out of my way to go there again. Club gets 6 points, with high marks for cleanliness and a variety of music at a decent volume. Can't give it more than that due to the concrete slab floor and a complete lack of style. Dancers also get 6, earning points for being reasonably cute with no c-sections or fatties, but losing on the personality side. Dollar value is a 7 for the BYOB thing and reasonable cover, but no great value in the private dance area.

I don't go to many clubs near my home turf, I generally only go clubbing when I travel. But I've had some time to kill in Bal'more a few Saturday nights, so I've been checking out some of the local talent. First few times was on the block and, as expected, The Hustler Club is the shining star. But sometimes I get an itch to go slumming, and one evening I found myself at The Players Club. On the outside the place looks kind of shitty, and it doesn't look much different on the inside. It's small and kind of cramped, not overly clean. There's no DJ, and since it's BYOB there's not much need for bar service except for the occasional cup of ice. It's a membership club, so be prepared to pay a premium your first time in, and every year thereafter. No booze, no music, no atmosphere... What the club does offer, and this is really the point, is naked dancers. There were about 15-20 girls dancing on two stages between 10pm and 2am, nine of them standouts. They averaged about 6, with a couple 7s but a few 4s and 5s too, mostly white and a few black. Overall it was the usual scene - some dancers were hustlers, some dancers wasted their time with deadbeats, etc. But when I did take a couple girls up on the private dances I was pleased to find they were mostly pretty good. One dancer was defensive, but the rest offered good dances with 2-way contact, despite the relative lack of privacy. I won't rush to go back, but I can see myself going to The Players Club from time to time for a couple private dances, but aside from that I wouldn't spend much time there.
