This was my first visit to Cedar Rapids and only my second to Iowa, the first time being a trip to Des Moines several years ago. As I recall, I went to the Lumber Yard there as well. The LY2 was just okay, a big room with a concrete floor, tables with ice tubs set into the middle for the beers you bring yourself. At one end of the club you step down into an area for private topless dances, or climb the stairs to another area with it's own stage for nude dances.

I arrived at about 7:30pm while the first shift was still dancing. There were about six or eight other guys in the club when I arrived, and there was probably never more than twenty or so between the time I arrived and when I left at about 11:00, so the place always looked empty. The dancers were just okay, some were cute but nothing special and no real pigs. I sat at a table away from the stage, but close enough that I could tip the dancers easily. I tipped them all as is my custom, but only a few of them stopped by my table to chat or offer me dances. The cuter ones returned to the same guys they had been sitting with, presumably regulars, but they didn't seem to be getting much action. This is a common occurrence which never ceases to amaze me, but I digress.

During the first shift I took a number of dancers up on their offers and got private dances, only one of which was in the nude area upstairs. It only took one visit to confirm that there's nothing special to be seen or had there, so I opted to stick with the topless dances. I did hit it off with one dancer and we talked about hooking up OTC, but I eventually decided against that.
