OP, thanks for the detailed but truly depressing review. Clear description of the 'sad', dead' atmosphere, dance 'options', and the admission price increase. And yes, in the past, you could re-enter in the evening on your then much cheaper day admission ticket stub, no extra charge. The highest admission charge was $20 on Fri-Sat nights; only time it was $25 was when a feature porn star was appearing. Those prices had been the same for decades. Daytime covers ranged from $10 to $15. The atmosphere wasn't always this dead and sad but you'd have to go back 7 to 10 years to experience the difference. Day shift was always slow but many regulars came in during the day. If the right one of two DJs was working day-shift dancers were known to allow 2-way private exploration including HJs and BJs. A few offered FS to regulars. BZ was ALWAYS YMWillV. Evenings were a tighter ship with manager plus bouncers. Fun was still to be had on occasion for repeat visitors with the right dancers. 'Sit on your hands' lap [couch] dances were only if vice was known to be active or with new dancers; vet dancers knew how to bend the rules; couch dances with them were topless with 2-way touch. As someone who regularly visited BZs over 20 years I certainly am not motivated to return any time soon based on your review. With their price increases, especially on days, is it any wonder they've lost day business after re-opening post lockdown? Is it any wonder that day shift dancers are bored or predatory when admission pricing keeps old regs away?
