I largely gave up on COI clubs especially after my two favorite ones there (Hawaii Theatre and the Deja Vu) closed. I found it impossible to make any sort of connection with the girls in COI except of the impersonal financial kind. I've actually been able to get to know ladies at Bare Elegance, Jet Strip and 4Play, though not lately.

I'm really not thrilled with any L.A. clubs these days. The best experiences I've had since pre-covid had very little to do with what went on in the club. They were cases of meeting a dancer in the club, establishing a rapport and then seeing her outside the club. Right now, I would guess my favorite club would be Jet Strip but as you'll see from my reviews, even it has disappointed me at times.

One thing that annoyed me when I was a steady customer at the Bare was that whenever I paid at the bar for a dance I'd just had, the cashier lady would hassle me about tipping my dancer. If I got change in paying for the dance, the cashier lady would ask me if she could give the change to the dancer or sometimes she would just tell me she was giving my change to the dancer as a tip. I'm a very good tipper and I always tipped the dancer before we left the booth to go pay for the dance. I knew the dancers appreciated that because they preferred not to have others see how much they'd been tipped. But whatever person was the cashier and it wasn't always a lady or the same lady would be hassling me as if I hadn't tipped.

Mozhna, you might have better luck than I did there especially if you don't go on a Saturday night. Since the place was so crowded, someone must have been having a great time.
I am generally down on L.A. strip clubs these days and also the ones I've been to in Vegas. More and more, I view strip clubs mainly as a place to meet ladies with whom I can develop an outside the club relationship. Of course, that lets all the Vegas clubs out since I don't live in Vegas but I have met dancers at the Bare , Jet Strip and 4Play and made new friends. This may not be an option for you if you're only in L.A. for a few days.
I should also add that if you just want to look at great nude bodies on stage, the Bare is still as good as any place you can find assuming you can find a good seat. Saturday at 10 PM is not a good time to do that.
- Bad visit
If it says "nude" on the outside, there's no alcohol on the inside. The Palomino in Vegas is just about the only exception.
- Disappointing Evening
I talked this evening with a former Bare dancer who told me the current management there is all about the guys who come in and drop a thousand or more. She said they'd rather have one of those than ten of us guys who spend $300-$500.

I posted my first review here of the Jet Strip 19 years ago and I've probably reviewed it at least four times a year since then. The dance area hasn't changed in all that time. There's a back room with three easy chairs on one side and six or so on the other, each with a privacy curtain. They're supposed to do nude dances on one side and topless on the other but that rule is rarely followed and certain girls would get totally nude no matter what you were paying for. There are two of what they call Premier Lounges which contain a big couch and a door that closes, and one of them has a big one-way mirror that lets you see the stage in case you get bored with the nude girl crawling all over your body.
There's also a super-private room to the right of the bar but through all the years I've visited this club, I've never been in it and I'm not sure it's even used anymore. Every lap dance location is relatively private but you should always assume there's a camera somewhere and that someone might be watching it. The rooms are all comfortable and certain ladies suggest you get more comfortable.
I don't think extras are frequently available but like at any club, they happen when they happen depending on the lady. They seem to be more plentiful if you're recognized as a regular but they aren't as easy to come by (no pun intended) as they are in City of Industry. I personally have had better luck getting to know women there and then seeing them on the outside but I'm not as interested in extras in a strip club as I was 20 years ago.
The girls come in all shapes and colors. At times, they are too tattooed for me and I once left because everyone who was available seemed to have pierced nipples. Usually though, I'm able find someone who is cute and friendly and relatively natural. And they always seem to have one or more black girls with great butts. A lot of the black strip clubs in Gardena closed a few years ago so that kind of lady drifted towards the Jet.
The first decade I was going there, they had a bunch of great girls in the lineup and most of them stayed a while so you could go in every week for a year and visit your favorite one. The last ten years, all the clubs I go to seem to have a constant turnover of the roster. When I go to the Bare, I almost never see anyone I've ever seen before. So it's kind of useless to say that they have a lot of enhanced girls, a lot of tall girls, a lot of skinny girls. It's a random selection every time. If I had to say, I'd say they get mostly girls 18-30 but there's always one or two who are much older but don't look their ages. But I don't think there's anything I would call a typical dance crew. It's kind of something for everyone.

To RockAllNight: Sometimes, a nude dancer can pose and move in a way that calls special attention to their nudity, like they're really proud of their bodies and happy that you're looking at them. To me, that's more naked than naked. It's kind of a figure of speech or speech about a figure.

Bare Elegance gets a lot of its customers from out of town businessmen who are staying in hotels near the airport. These men like it because it's close and they don't care about the prices because most of them are on expense accounts and their employers think the charges are for entertaining clients at fancy restaurants. Also, the nearby clubs aren't much cheaper.

I haven't been to the Jet Strip lately but when I was there often, the songs all seemed to be longer than most clubs. A few years ago, I timed several at a little over three minutes each.
I think what confuses some people is that when they do the promo where the dancers all parade across the stage, they offer what they call a "free dance" and that dance is more like a minute and a half. Of course, it's only "free" if you call a halt after that short dance and almost no one does. Most guys stay in the booth for at least one paid dance and sometimes a lot more. If you're already in the booth getting dances when they do the short promo dance, most dancers won't charge you for it but you have to pay attention.
Of course, desertscrub's math is wrong. If you were paying $40 for a two minute dance, you'd be paying $20 a minute. There are 60 minutes in an hour so that would be $1200.

I wish you'd posted the prices. Several ex-Bare dancers have told me that since business was down, the management has recently raised the prices of some lap dances. That strikes me as a very bad idea and I'm reticent to even go there until I know what they're charging now.

This reviewer says they only go to this club at night. Everyone who goes there goes at night. The club opens every night at 8 PM.
This reviewer says there are two stages in the club, there's a bar next door and there's a taco stand there around Midnight. I've only seen one stage in the club, there's no bar next door and I've been there many times at Midnight and not seen any taco stand. I've also never seen a discount card or dancers walking around and getting $1 tips after their sets. I think the dance prices quoted are all wrong too.
There's nothing in this review that convinces me this person has actually been to this club.

Is it possible? Yes. Is it wise? Maybe not. The time to cross the border each way can be very unpredictable. It might take five minutes. It might take three hours. I don't think Hong Kong or Adelita are best enjoyed when you're working with a time limit. It might take you five minutes to connect with the right lady. It might take hours. Part of the fun is to just sit there for a while window shopping and letting ladies come by and audition for you and give out free samples.
Renting a room is not a bad idea. You'd have a place to escape the noise and chaos of the club and to take a nap or a shower. As CJKent_band noted, it can be cost effective if you want to spend private time with more than one lady. And it will probably be a nicer room than the one you'd rent by the hour.
One time when I went, I went with a friend who drove us to the border so I had to leave when he did. He found what he wanted right away and was ready to leave a couple of hours after we got there. I wanted to stick around, look at the ladies, watch the show and recover enough to have a second encounter so I felt very rushed there. That's not the best way to enjoy those clubs.

You were lucky to get away without a ticket for parking in the yellow zone. I have seen police writing tickets out there. The club isn't far from the police station.

An Uber would be more expensive and I've had bad luck getting them to turn up at the late hours when I go to strip clubs. I like having my own car so I can pick up groceries or a meal on the way home.

What he means by "4 for 3 private dances" is that in that section, the dances are 3 for $136 but during a special, the give you 4 dances there. Or at any time, you can ask in advance to get 4 for the price of 3, and the girl and the management will usually agree to it. They don't tell you that you can ask that and probably get it but you can but you have to ask in advance.
This is a good review. Lately though, it seems this club has not had very many dancers during the day and too many at night. Last night's posted lineup after Midnight had 43 girls on it. I don't know how there could possibly be room for 43 girls or for enough customers for 43 girls to all go home with decent money.
Here is a tip from a dancer I know there. The club is getting stricter on physical contact in the downstairs private dance areas and less strict in the upstairs areas. Make of that what you will.
