Loved this club! As was said, there was a time when anything could be had there! First, compared to other clubs currently charging $40 a lap dance, the $17 per lap dance was a bargain. And, I might add, the lap dances were "big butts, in your lap for a full song!" And, with many of the dancers (not all) a BJ could be had for $60 on up. Not sure why it closed down. I can say that, according to a newspaper article, Starz and Ron's Barbary Coast had each signed a 20 year agreement back in the late 1990s. It required that they move to a different location or close down. Easier said then done. It may be that King Henry had such an agreement. In any case, I'm hoping for a time machine, so I can go back and relive those great moments.
A quick comment on the issue of race. In reference to visiting a black strip club, it's been my experience that neither the other customers and/or dancers care if you're not black as long as your money is green!
