Blue Sapphire review
I went up to Ogden check out Blue Sapphire and to talk to one of my friends who dances there. I went on a Thursday night around 9:00. There was no cover charge. When I walked in they checked my ID. I asked for a But Light. It was $4.50. The staff was friendly. They went out of their way to come say hi. This club is relatively small. One stage with two girls dancing at opposite ends of the stage. Chairs placed around the stage. There were four tables right behind the stage chairs and two pool tables behind those. Then behind the pool tables there was another table or two with chairs. I was there for about an hour. Between 9-10 at night there were around 10-12 customers. Most of them playing pool. I think they have pool tournaments on Sundays. The girls were attractive for the most part. There were 7's-8's out of 10 on this night. Most of them are white but there were two ethnic girls dancing. Fake and natural boobs. The dancers were friendly. While I was talking to my friend the waiter asked if I wanted to buy her a drink. It was $5 for a lady drink which is half the price of any other club I've been to. What I like most about this place is that it seemed super laid back. No pressure to buy anything. Everyone leaves you alone and happy to get you anything you need. If I lived up in the Ogden area I'd go here more often. Glad I checked it out because I've been curious. If you live up here and like the strip joints I'd recommend checking this place out. There are no lap dances and no touching. Typical of most Utah clubs. But good place to have a beer with your friends.

It's a Great Show with Beautiful Women, but Don't Expect More
I really hadn’t planned on checking out the Blue Sapphire but when my load out of Ogden was delayed until the morning I ended up finding a place to park almost right across the street from the club so I decided to check it out. When you walk into the club they scan your ID. It was a Tuesday night and there wasn’t a cover so I ordered a beer for $4 and asked the bartender for information about the club. She told me that because they sold alcohol there weren't any lap or table dances. You also couldn’t hand the dancers any money or put it under any of their clothing. Tips had to be placed on the stage. The stage is a “Y-shaped” stage where there is a runway coming out of the dancer dressing room and a pole at the end of that runway. There are two dance areas on the stage. There are chairs all around the stage with a two-foot wide counter that raises up another foot or so to the main stage. Set one foot back from the edge of the stage is a brass rail that runs around the entire length of stage. The bar creates a physical barrier between the customers and the dancers but it is used for so much more. There is also a shower area to the right of the stage. It looks pretty impressive like something one would want in their home but this night it wasn’t being used for any shows. That said, this is really not a strip club or even a gentlemen’s club, despite the name. It really is a show club where the dancers put on a pretty amazing show on stage. All of them either have extensive dancing and/or gymnastics experience. They used the railing like a gymnastics bar and would spin around them, do other tricks and just put on a show where you were amazed how good they were. They were sexy and did costume changes for each of their 2 song sets. So I bought a beer for $4 and found a table near the stage. I actually didn’t want to get to close because I wanted to be able to see all the wonderful moves the ladies were doing while still being able to walk up easily to tip. There were two dancers that really made an impression on me. The first was Venom. She was this very athletic brunette who obviously had formal dance training and experience. She did these wild tricks coupled with very graceful moves. But my favorite of the night was this petite gorgeous brunette named Layla. Layla was new to dancing but she had quite a bit of gymnastics experience and showed off all of those skills while maintaining such a cute sexiness. After one of her sets she came down and sat with me. I bought her a drink which was only $5 which I thought was great because I’ve been gouged before when buying a dancer an extremely overpriced drink. Overall, I had a great time. I spent less than $100. Just remember this club is what it is and don’t expect more but definitely go for the show. I probably wouldn’t go out of my way to go back but if the opportunity presented itself, I would return.

Killing time is Chilling time.
First time here in several years, since travel has not brought me to Ogden lately. Generally, the experience is the same as what I recall from years ago. Here are the main things that registered with me. New club name. Can be hard to spot the address on a dark business street on the far west side of Ogden. Same small rotation of dancers. There were only 5 customers in the club during the 45 minutes I was there, and only 3 were stage-side. (Others were playing pool with a dancer.) Five dancers each doing solo 2-song sets. Every day might be different, but on this visit between 7 and 8 pm on a Friday night there seemed to be less energy and fewer tattoos than I recall. No, I really don't blame the dancers for not being amped up for a round of stage time from which they would only be getting about $10 in tips. I enjoyed the basic slow dances they were doing. I assume the energy level would pick up later in the evening, but I was just traveling through town and stayed for just under one hour. No admission fee when I arrived just after 7 pm, but saw a sign saying there would be a $5 fee to enter after 8 pm. Bartender checked (scanned?) IDs, and was the only employee I saw there. Same way-too-high stage, and no sign of the previous on-stage "shower" option that I saw years ago. Music was generic rap/rock, but not memorable or interesting to me. Simpler food options. Only chicken fingers or fries. Had burgers available a few years ago. I'm spoiled by Portland clubs, which sometimes have good food. I would visit again, but only because it is the only option in the area. Keep your expectations low and it will be OK, or drive an hour to SLC.

Thursday Steak dinner night!
So I was in Ogden on business and thought I’d check out what they had. Looked them up and found out it was steak night. 12oz strip dinner for $10! Layout has been mentioned before. Main stage in the middle with railings all around. Also 3ft seating separating the stage and the customers. So there’s really no contact with the dancer while she’s on stage. So it’s more of a stage show. I went there for the Steak dinner. Which starts at 5:30. It came out great medium, slightly rare and flavorful. Nice show. Average looking girls with some nice naturals. Then Venom came out. You can check their Instagram for pics of her. Definitely the hottest one there for sure! As soon as she got on, I had to drop my fork and approach the stage, dropped 3 $1 and ask her to do her best trick. She smiled and then rolled down her socks and went to town! She was like a spider monkey... all over the place. From the pole to the rails. It was definitely a site to see and she was so hot on her set, I had to tip again. I tried to ask about LDs, no LDs but there is a shower show but I didn’t ask for price since I wasn’t interested. She did sit with me for a bit and I got to feel her up a bit. I bought her a $5 drink. Not my scene so I left after my steak dinner. Overall, okay place and good to see Venom, the hottest one there. She looks as advertised. I wouldn’t go again because no LDs and it’s a pasties bar. I would only go back for the Steak dinner. But I guess there’s not much options if you live in O-town, unless you want to drive to SLC, but it not much better. However there is a club that do LDs so maybe that might be good.

sinclair's Review
Club Wet has not been reviewed in eighteen months, so I decided to do some reconnaissance. The club is now called Blue Sapphire Gentlemen’s Club. It is located next to a gun store. I arrived a half hour before the nine o’clock shift change on a Friday night. There was a $5 cover. Sincweisers in sixteen ounce aluminum bottles are $4. (Non-Utah residents should be warned that all beer in Utah is 3.2% alcohol by volume). I did buy a cocktail for a dancer later in the night and that was a reasonable $5. There are ten beers on tap. The bespectacled brunette waitress, Cassi, was helpful and attractive. There is a kitchen on site. Tacos are $1 each on Tuesdays. Blue Sapphire is basically a topless stage show. A tabletop built around the perimeter of the stage enforces a “three-foot rule”. The stage is about four feet off the floor; it is kind of awkward to tip. No contact with the dancers is allowed at the stage. In Utah, strip clubs that serve alcohol are not allowed to have lap dances. The stage has a twenty foot tall pole and two runways fenced by railings. The dancers get pretty creative incorporating the railings into their dance sets. Dancers do interact with customers on the floor, but they must put on a dress or robe. You might be able to sneak in a little discrete groping. There is no smoking inside, but there is an outdoor smoking patio on the backside of the building. Despite the strict rules, there were a number of attractive dancers that I would have loved to bang. Perhaps the fact that there is no contact motivates better looking young women to strip here versus a seedy, full contact dive. Most dancers are white, slim, in their early twenties, and have natural breasts. Dancers are required to wear pasties over their nipples. Two dancers were on stage at a time, one on each of the two runways. --Sinclair Dancer Sheet-- Alaska: Black hair, extremely energetic stage show, day shift, 9. Athena: Blonde, B cups, athletic, good stage energy, no tattoos, very friendly, dances in Wyoming also, 9.5. Blossom: Brunette, flat chested, tattoo on the back of left shoulder, had a kid in the distant past, 5.5. Carmen: Black hair, tattoo on left upper arm, skull tattoo on left thigh, 8. Chrissy: Polynesian, frizzy hair, 40 inch jiggly ass, small B cups, not HWP, no tattoos, 4. Evy: Black hair with highlights, A cups, no tattoos, lots of stage energy, 8. Jaida: Dirty blonde, petite, A cups, dreamcatcher tattoo on left side, big tattoo on right thigh, had a kid, 6. Mary Jane: Reddish hair down to ass, late 30’s, big C cups, tattoos on back of right shoulder and right side of abdomen, 7. Shay: Black hair, A cups, tattoos down right arm, Chinese symbols down left side of torso, had kid at some point, 7. Blue Sapphire’s hours are 16:00-01:00 on Monday through Saturday and 18:00-01:00 on Sunday. Between Salt Lake City and Pocatello, this is the only strip club option. Blue Sapphire Gentlemen’s Club is an okay place to have a few drinks and see some eye candy if you are stuck in northern Utah.

why is this place so hard to find
I've been to club wet about 3 times before over the last few years. I was in Roy for another event, so I thought I'd stop in since it was only a few miles away. I had a gps and knew where it was, but drove right by it anyway. It's like it's hidden, maybe they need a bigger sign or something. That happened another time when I drove by it a couple times before seeing it in the back of the parking lot. Kind of looks like a small strip mall or some other kind of business, maybe more lights would help. Anyway, the guy at the door was less than friendly, kind of a typical mean bouncer type of guy who thinks he has some power, he checked my id, i was going to show it to him, he said, take it out of the wallet. I asked if there was a cover charge, he said No. They should have a friendly cute girl at the door. When I walked in the girl on stage was, well, not one you'd see dancing anywhere else, I'd say. Probably in the 250 range, but I'm sure she has a great personality. I was somewhat surprised there were so many dancers though. I was there probably 45 minutes and i saw 6 dancers. Most of the dancers were pretty, most were pretty flat. I did like Missy, Autumn and Entice. They were very friendly and cute too. Entice has big enhanced boobs and looks great. No lap dances or shows. I was sitting at the second stage close to the restrooms, when i stood up a little to put the tip closer to the dancer, the top of the table caught my shirt. It's totally loose and isn't really a table top, it's more like a tile, very thin tile. It could be glued down very easily. I said to the girl dancing, this table is broken, she said, yeah, be careful there. I guess it's been loose for a while. The place is highly dumpy, one of the urinals was covered up with a plastic bag. But maybe the diveiness is part of the charm people like. if you like a dive, this place is for you. There were about 12 customers there acouple of guys that I wasn't sure if they were real cowboys or cowboy wannabes. Even with the long cowboy coat. Maybe they're real, hard to tell. But, there will be a really hot dancer there tomorrow, Saturday December 10th. I heard a new dancer will be there, that should be fun to see. A super hot new dancer. i'm not going though, too far away, but I would like to see that and see how the other dancers and the customers react to her.

Not bad, or Ogden
If you're up north in Utah it's not a bad place to stop by. It's laid back and has a good variety of women. The bar is somewhat small, but I've never seen it over crowded or busy the few times I have been there. The bartender and waitress do a good job of taking care of patrons so you don't have to keep leaving your seat for a drink. The building is a bit divey, but personally I like the more laid back and chill types of environments rather than the loud show club style of places. No smoking inside, but there is a back smoking area with chairs and tables. The stage is an interesting layout. though there are 2 circular playforms (one higher, and the other being lower eye level) there is also a catwalk that serves as a 3rd stage. So you can actually watch up to 3 girls at a time, but the strange thing is that the pole is in the back, in the center of the 3 stages. This isn't much of a place to see pole tricks, but the railing that lines the stages proves to show the women are capable of some rather acrobatic tricks and moves which is very entertaining. For Ogden, I did think that had a good variety of girls. Big, small, tattooed, barbie, tall, short, etc. They have them all at Wet, which is what I like to see. I chatted with a few girls who are locals to the area, as well as a few who travel from Salt Lake. There are only 2 shifts at this club though: 4pm-9pm and 9pm-2am. They schedule anywhere from 5-20 girls per shift, depending on the day. It's a nice place with some friendly girls who will sit and chat without hounding you for a drink. I'll definitely be going back when I am in the area.
