Doors locked for near 2 months now, and all the dancers are now at Vanity or Gold. Regulars know this place went through a long shut down -for years- after Covid once already- here comes round 2 or whatever- They are in debt so deep that it has caused legal shut downs and the owners actually in jail! Here's the story of how we got here: This place made national news in 2018 because Stormy Daniels got arrested mid-performance by the Columbus vice unit. Charges got dropped fast, the city paid her and other dancers to settle lawsuits, and the vice unit itself got disbanded. That whole mess helped shine a light on how the club treated dancers. Fast-forward: former dancers sued over the “entertainer tenant” setup (basically charging them rent & fees and treating them as contractors instead of employees but no advance agreement the dancers understood they WERE 1099's). In 2021 the club settled that class action for $600k, mostly in $8,000-a-month payments. They fell way behind. By 2025 they were deep in arrears, got held in contempt, and on Oct. 8, 2026 a federal judge ordered owners Michael Sharrak, Francis Sharrak, and Jay Nelson into custody until they pay roughly $240k (plus interest and fees). As of late October there was no public word they’d paid up and they simply walked out. Club phone was already disconnected for weeks. On top of that, the operating company (Cleveland Avenue Cafe, Inc. dba Sirens) filed bankruptcy in November 2025. It’s been a fight with the landlord/creditor side (Corporate Exchange Group) over the building and business, with conversion talk and trustee activity. Same owners flipping the lights back on looks unlikely. The building’s future is more likely in the landlord’s or the bankruptcy trustee’s hands. Rumors are that a gas station Sheetz is in talks to take the property. That building has millions pumped into it in renovations- I can't believe it might just get flattened.
