Visited the building, couple conversations

Out of curiosity, I visited the Sirens building. When it closed four years ago, the rumor was that covid gave the owners the excuse to shut down and do a full remodel they'd always wanted to do. And things have just dragged since then. The outside of the building is completely redone with what seems like marble or marble floor tile. The doors are replaced. Even the upstairs towers and smoking area are enclosed with new materials. The rear of the venue has a note for workers to "please knock" (I did not, and did not try to peek inside). The parking lot lines have been recently repainted.

I talked to a couple people at other clubs, including the former Sirens bathroom attendant who seemed to think Sirens was a "couple months" away from coming back. However it seems to have been a "couple months" away for a couple years.

I'm of two minds, first, that the money spent is evidence that they do intend to come back. Second, that the material selection is odd, and it's strange to let this much time go on without earning a return on what must be several six figures investment.

Whatever the reason for the delay, all is forgiven guys! Please reopen what was the best club in Columbus.

Like you said, their reopening has been a couple of months away according to their former dancers and staff since the covid lock downstairs ended 3 years ago. I agree that they spent a lot of money on the remodel which would indicate that they planned on reopening. It has been a while since I was on that stretch of Cleveland Ave to see if the work is still ongoing, but I know progress had seemed to stop for quite a while. My guess was that the owners ran out of funds due to the club being closed, renovation costs going up and lines of credit becoming harder and more expensive to obtain.

At this point I have all but given up hopes of them reopening, at least under the same ownership, after the 4 year "temporary" closure. I hope I'm wrong, Sirens was always my favorite club whenever I was in Cbus and I would love for them to reopen and continue the great entertainment they used to provide.
