@PoppyRook nowadays, I consider $350 a good shift for just dancing, and for VIP work I’m happy with $1500.

@ruhroh I actually work in Providence Rhode Island. Miami was a nickname people used to call me, so I use it as my stage name!

@Miami too far north for me but the thought was nice while it lasted.. Do you do any extras or OTC? If so what advice do have for having fun but everyone staying safe

@ruhroh with respect to rooms, safety would be the same as you would use if you were having a sexual encounter on a date. It’s best practice to communicate everything from protection, pricing, and what is and isn’t included. Boundaries and preferences should be discussed beforehand. I’ve found my experiences to be pleasant! If a customer gives me a weird vibe, I just decline the offer to do a room with him.

@Miami Which Providence clubs and what was your stage name up here?

@Miami Ah, I was wondering if I knew you (I'm out of the game but like to reminisce). Way back in the day (2010-ish), Fantasies was my go-to. Every visit in the last 10 years was for some reason or another, disappointing.

@MrSuntan I’m here for the love of the game. In my lifetime so far I’ve owned two businesses and had a variety of careers that didn’t involve dancing. I’d like to exit off the stage as a house mom or manager, but that’s because I love the club industry.

@Miami what do you specifically love about it?

@PoppyRook I love performing, I love the dressing up, make-up, hair, etc… I love the psychology behind it, I love presenting my way in a sexualized manner in public. I love how I’m treated by customers ( far better than men in the civvie world ), I love the money I make. I love having intimacy in a transactional manner as I find it exhilarating and fun. I also enjoy the relationships I build with my customers.

@Pussylicker2 I’ve never had that happen in a room. It happened once during a LD, and I told him that’s not what we do here.

@skibum609 Unlike other clubs in town, we don’t have to submit a schedule in advance. Feel like coming in? Great. Don’t want to? Great. Also, there’s no comparison (in my opinion) in the camaraderie amongst staff. I am the only survived member of my family, and the authentic friendships here is a major positive in my life.

@ruhroh it’s been dismal trying to date. Even the men who seem “cool” with it end up not accepting of it. Right now I’ll stay single, and enjoy all my men 15-30 minutes at a time! 😂

@Miami One of the things that irritates me is the attitude I see some times that the transactional nature of this biz means that a guy can act like an asshole because of the transfer of funds.

Why not treat a dancer like a lady with kindness and respect? I find that my favorites respond in kind by just hanging out and even bringing me girls they think is "my type" to check out

There is no reason I can see that the brief intersection of our seperate lives can't be enjoyable for both parties

I however don't tolerate being played, disrespect or a ROB but I think dancers pick up on that pretty quick...once and done is all it takes to keep my wallet in my pocket as far as they are concerned

@ruhroh I am very fortunate that nearly all of my interactions at the club are pleasant and respectful. However, I carry myself as an articulate, confident, intelligent woman- not exactly the type that screams victim. Very few would have the balls to try me.

@Miami Have you ever had a boyfriend/SO who originally was a customer?

@ilbbaicnl yes. Sadly it resulted in a stalking case and I had to get a court order. We had mutual friends on the “outside”, so I wasn’t expecting it to go that route. 😩

@cloudledger21 great question, I have no idea either. unfortunately, there’s little to no training in this industry. Best practice is to be upfront and honest, everytime. I work in a very small city with a lot of clubs- word travels fast if you’re a scammer. I want my customers to treat me with integrity, so of course I treat them with integrity. I wish this issue was addressed in clubs!

@Miami That makes a lot of sense, especially the reputation part. I always wondered why a club would allow practices that might make someone feel scammed, since even if one dancer makes more money that night, the customer might blame the whole club and never come back.

@cloudledger21 I also owned two brick and mortar businesses and I have a lot of professionals in my network. Not all dancers as you know have the same background.

I have no information nor have I heard anything about immigration policies. Interesting topic though!

@Miami But you haven't seen fewer immigrant strippers working, fewer immigrant customers, or ICE agents making it rain with their hiring bonuses?

@Miami Do you sell a lot of dances to Mexicans and Central Americans?

@PoppyRook I miss the esthetic. When I first stepped on stage in 2007, every dancer looked impeccable, nowadays, girls are coming in not looking polished. I think it’s a good thing that dancers come in all different looks, styles, figures, etc. because there is an ass for every seat. However, I miss the pride and care us old timers had, and I’d love to see that come back!

@ilbbaicnl I have a reoccurring dream that I get into fist fights with the girls I work with. I have no idea why, I have no desire whatsoever to be needlessly violent. Dreams are odd!

@vajmon I first stepped on stage 19 years ago in 2007. Thanks to a clean lifestyle I’ve been able to still wear my heels in my 40s. That said, my first club was the Foxy in 2007. Every chair on the stage was full every weekend. I don’t think that Fantasies is slower than any other club, I think the industry, like all industries, has changed, and to be successful you have to keep up with the times. With management at Fantasies, they allow the girls full range of their schedule, which is why I love working there. Most clubs hire their dancers as 1099/ind. contractors. As my own tax reporting business entity, I don’t solely rely on the club to bring me business. I have a presence here, I network in PVD, and I market myself on my social media platforms. I make a good living working at Fantasies, however I take accountability in the fact that I am my own business and my own brand. I think if more dancers embodied that business model they’d find more success!

1. When I was new, I accidentally kicked a guy square in the eye with my 6 inch heel. His buddy was so amused he tipped me $100.
2. I think scanning IDs does hurt business because I hear concerns about it from patrons on this forum. Otherwise I wouldn’t have any knowledge.
3. The average single young person could be as “promiscuous” as a SW. I think the average person having casual sex meeting guys/girls from bars are less cautious with protection. Also, I don’t get intoxicated at work, so I always have my wits about me, which yields better decision making. I think there’s a stigma that being with a SW is somehow more risky than a “civilian”. Sex is sex, and intuition and communication are vital in all facets of intimacy, be it SW or otherwise.

@ThePuddyTat I see a lot of dancers drinking, some more than others. Personally, I only drink if have a ride, and even so, I only have 2 max. I don’t take any narcotics. It’s hard for me to ascertain who does what for substances, because it’s not my scene. With respect to extras, I’m not even sure who does what in the rooms and who doesn’t. I’ve survived in and out of this industry as long as I have by minding my own business. I was surprised the amount of religious and/or spiritual women I’ve met while dancing. I’m not sure I could pull up a percentage , but it definitely caught me by surprise throughout my career. Hmmm happy endings? It’s hard to say. Women are in, out, and very rarely to girls keep contact as they bounce club to club. I’ve seen some really sad stuff for sure. I will say though when I first started dancing in the early 2000’s, more girls were in school while dancing as a temporary gig. Although that still exists, I don’t see it as often.

@Pussylicker2 my experience in VIP is more sensual and intimate than just whipping a dick out. Drugs I would guess maybe less than 1/4th of the dancers I’ve worked with… although numbers change as some people use snow as a party drug, and some people hide their habits really well. Since I’m not a drug user, I don’t know too much of who does what, except for the obvious. At my current club I haven’t seen anyone nodding off or anything like that.

@nicespice great question! Providence is a city where full contact and full service work often occurs. Boston is not.

@skibum609 I’ve heard stories!! I didn’t step onto the scene until 2007; I was at the Foxy. Despite the economic state at that time we were still killing it!

@minnow absolutely! Although I am big on verbal communication, so I get a good sense beforehand. Sometimes a customer’s demeanor doesn’t match with mine, and I decline the dance/room too. I don’t allow myself to feel uncomfortable and I follow my intuition.

@Manuellabore haha! I only use protection during sex! And I usually do “other things” with the mess as well 🤑🤑🤑!
