Just a temporary anomaly. They'll go back to supporting everything the libs do if they haven't already gone back.

The high cost of living, high taxes and high levels of crime and homelessness in California can be a problem. It is not quite as bad here in conservative Indiana. Forty years ago I knew people moving from here to California but in recent years it has been mostly people moving from there to here. If you can't make changes by voting, you vote with your feet.

The gated communities with their own security will support this progressive swirling toilet bowl as it really doesn't effect them aside from the tax burden. Looking at a political map of CA show the dense coastal demographics, the usual suspect - SD, LA, SanFran - that control the entire state.

Even the in LA, clearly wealthy liberal/progressives are doing all they can to prevent homes being rebuilt in the Palisades so former homeowners just give up on the "process" so it can be re-developed as a new elite "Brentwood." This appears to be the only explanation why so little has been done to support rebuilding for the former residents - even homeowners insurance was a mess, Former residents lived in homes passed done from several generations with no mortgages so they just paid real estate taxes on valuable land. Now that property has been stolen.
