Outside of home I especially like a good meal in a restaurant, taking a walk in a park, listening to political podcasts while driving around, learning something new on my computer at work and visiting a strip club. When I am at home I like watching movies, reading fiction, listening to music, playing guitar and keyboards, reading nonfiction and playing games on my Nintendo DS. As someone nearing seventy I have learned what I enjoy most and just focus on those activities.

Food. I'm a fat boy at heart. A nice Italian meal is something I dream about.

This time of year in Miami Beach - before it gets too hot and humid. Once the sun drops below the tall buildings of downtown Miami, I love to sit outside on my back porch and catch the cool breeze coming across the bay.

Whatever on strip clubs. I used to be more of a fan, but sex with my girlfriend is more fun than any backroom extras. She's still curious about visiting one but I've had more fun dates with her at the gun range, mini-golf, or seeing one of our favorite comedians. We keep pushing back our "strip club date."

Other things I love:

1. Like OP I love seeing money hit my bank account.
2. Going for a walk against the backdrop of a beautiful sunset, followed by going inside and watching a movie or messaging a friend.
3. The seasons in New England, there's always something to look forward to, whether it's the holidays, football playoffs, baseball season, or seasonal activities. RIght now it's the ability to drive with my windows down blaring metal.
4. Putting on my over-ear headphones and lifting heavy weights. Just me, a pile of iron, and some great beats. Or any hardcore exercise like Krav Maga or Jiu-JItsu. No matter if I had a rough day and got my ass beat, I'm basking in endorphins for the rest of the day. And unlike the strip club I always feel like I got my money's worth.
5. Spending time with friends and family. As my friends have married off and had kids, it's rarer, but that only makes me appreciate it more. Ditto my parents and siblings, I'm conscious that they won't be around forever.
6. When my cat snuggles up to me and purrs. That's unconditional love right there.
7. Too much more. I love being alive. I follow politics closely but unlike a lot of people (here and elsewhere) I don't let it get up my ass no matter who's in power. If you do, you need a good long break from it. Your complaining on the internet convinces no one and doesn't make a damn bit of difference. By most measures, it's a better time than ever to be alive.

Parking (the free kind) sucks there, I only know of one street and limited hours. And the traffic sill sucks I may try in a week or two

@sfrsox You are 💯 correct. Parking, and traffic in general in Miami Beach is horrible. I am fortunate (or unfortunate - depending on your perspective) to be living in the house I grew up in that has been in our family since the 1940’s. It’s a beautiful location - until you have to go anywhere 😂
