I counted it up a few months back. Only Strip Clubs, Binkini bars, did not count vietnamese coffee shops or massage parlors, or adult stores. 1533 but who knows what's still open on the listings and what's closed since I counted.

Around the recession it was about 2500 so down about 1,000 from then. I do notice a lot these rural clubs have been really going down. I think there is a floor to this though, I mean some of these clubs I go to are still packed out the wazoo, there absolutely still is a big demand just I think it's the sc world is going to get a little denser. I think it'll be similar to restaurants in these big expensive, the chains will survive but he mom and pops can't hold on. Those beat up dives you walk into where there's only a bartender, a small stage in the corner and 3 fat dancers, your the one of two customers, I think those places are going the way of the dinosaur. You gotta think where is the money coming from to hold those places up, the math just don't work.

What you describe is certainly the case in Indianapolis. The beat up dives that existed here when I first started going to strip clubs about 15 years ago are mostly all gone now. Over the last four years I have noticed among the remaining strip clubs a decline in the ones with dayshifts. There is still enough demand for at least several strip clubs to be open at night in this city. I think this level of demand will continue.

“Support your local strip club” Well, where I live in Arizona the one local one closed a few years ago and now it’s an hour drive to the one south of bullhead and an hour and a half to get to a strip club in Las Vegas. With the distance issues and the cost of the clubs I just hold onto my money and make the drive worth it when I go to tijuana.

I will still occasionally go to a strip club in the Metro Los Angeles and Orange County area and most definitely a few of the Vietnamese coffee shops (because coffee is cheap) and still see some eye candy.

But it’s definitely not the same as it was before. Seems that the prudes are winning.

Casino poker, strip clubs, Chinese food and skiing are all disappearing. Luckily I'm 68 and the clock was ticking anyway

^^ Sad to see these go. I recall doing all of them in S. Lake Tahoe back in the 80’s.

New England's rural areas had strip clubs everywhere. They were usually diners earlier in the day. Now all except Hour Place in rural Maine are gone. Change is inevitable, but seldom good.

Hey Muddy, is 1533 the total number, or the number you have visited? :)

Women who live in rural area can just go online instead of waste time in areas where people don't live. Onlyfsn is a multi-billion dollar business for a reason

Muddy: Thanks for documenting the numbers about a trend we all have noticed.
