I've been flying cross country a lot in the past year - CA > DC and back. On one of those flights with a longer layover I managed to barely squeeze in a trip to a club. I'd like to be more intentional about it and plan out a potential long layover or break up a trip into two legs and stay somewhere overnight. Pulled up a map and the first ones that come to mind are Chicago, Detroit, Dallas, Houston, St Louis. Some, like Atlanta or New Orleans look to take me pretty far out of my way. Vegas and Phoenix are so close to CA that I probably wouldn't make a special stop. Any favorite cities for pit stops?

Ok, after clicking around for all of a minute I realize that the obvious answer is Dallas just to go to Baby Dolls.

OP, what kind of experience are you looking for? Are you interested in substantial extras, or are you content just to watch babes wearing bikinis dance on stage? I'm a big extras guy, so that's my frame of reference.

In picking a city, I think you need to factor in how far the airport is from the clubs you feel might be worth visiting.

For example, St. Louis has only one strip club listed on TUSCL. All the action is in East St. Louis, Illinois, which is about 30 min from the airport, so it will take you time and money to get there and back.

On the other hand, in Detroit, all of the extras-heavy clubs are in the western suburbs, which is where the airport is. A couple of the most popular clubs are nearby.

FWIW, Chicago is known on TUSCL as being one of the worst cities for strip clubs, especially for extras. Even if you don't care about extras, there are very few strip clubs close to either O'Hare or Midway airports, so even if you have a long layover, much of your time will be eaten up by traveling to and from the clubs.

Just my two cents...

The most logical stopover would have to be Ft Lauderdale. Sure, it’s a little out of the way between DC and CA, but its where you can have the most strip club fun in a few hours between flights.

After the Mid-terms, Trump will have no reason not to start an airline with lap dancing stewardesses.

All good points @eastcoaster. I'm leaning toward an overnight stop so distance from the airport to the club isn't a big consideration. I'll probably skip Chicago, though it is generally on my 'To see' list since I've never been there. Not going in the winter though, too much chance of a travel delay. I'm not huge into extras though not opposed. I'm mostly there to see the talent and pick out a couple for lap dances. I've gotten a bit more than a standard LD on occasion but a good grind is usually what I'm looking for.

@Iknowbetter I hadn't considered the Ft Lauderdale. I'll keep it in mind for another time but I think south FL is a bit too far of a detour for me.

My first attempt is definitely going to be Dallas to make a pilgrimage to Baby Dolls. That high a score with that many reviews is crazy.

As do someone who’s made the same trips as you… for me, I’d be trying to find an excuse to have an overnight layover in:

Detroit

Toronto

Phoenix

You could always hit City of Industry in CA

If you are flying a lot, you may be favoring a certain airline and that would influence where you layover.

On Delta, you have Atlanta, Cincinnati, Detroit and Salt Lake. On United, you have Chicago, Houston, LA and SF. Along with Newark and DC. On American, you have Philly, Charlotte, Chicago, Dallas, Phoenix, LA, DC , NYC and Miami. Southwest doesn't really have hubs per se but do seem to have a lot of flights through Phoenix, Houston, Chicago and Denver.

With the frequent flying, you would want to pick an airline so you can leverage some mileage for personal use. I would pick one of these airlines with the best strip club stops and use that airline.

When I fly cross country on business, I often travel a day early. Don't need to worry about flight problems that make me miss my appointment. I can spend the extra day working in my hotel room--and take a break from work if I'm in a good city. Wouldn't bother with that for DC, and I think not for Boston, but south Florida, Atlanta, Detroit, Phillie would be worth it, I think.
