Gone or on a break?

Just curious on other's opinions. It hit me earlier regarding posters coming and going, some leaving and never coming back. Over the years I've been here there were times when I was barely active maybe a post every week or 2 then earlier this year I hooked up with a civie girl I met in January. We hit it off and hooked up so by my choice I modified my life and skipped TUSCL for 7 months then when we parted I showed up here again a couple months ago.

There have been others but some from recent years that just stopped posting Papi, cashman, flagooner, i enjoyed their posts. Last I heard Papi was fine but the other 2 just disappeared. Oh and BJ69 too. Recently Puddy just left and had himself erased. While posting this it hit me that 2 regulars, Dugan and 25 haven't posted in awhile. There are probably some other recent AWOLs but they came to mind.

Just like every day offline life people come and go but do you ever wonder what happened to some of the regulars here? Anyone you miss not seeing? Anyone that you're glad you aren't seeing?

Rather than having particular commenters I like it has been more a case of particular commenters I do not like. I always assume if someone leaves they just found a better way to spend their time.

I am 69 and my interests have changed many times over the course of my life. I spent over a decade going to strip clubs weekly but now want to try other things and have dropped my strip club visits down to once every three weeks.

I’ve been more inactive here in the past several months than I have been in 10 years. My clubbing hasn’t slowed I just haven’t been on here much. Political stuff and bitching about other posters has been a turn off too

Political stuff in the sense of people getting each other worked up and fighting over it. Seems pointless to rant about politics on this site to me

Damn If I were tell you 5 years back, Papi, Dugan, 25, Juice and SJG would not be around anymore, I'd be like damn this board must dead.

What's the old saying? "Some for a reason, others for a season?" I think the novelty of this board wears off. How many conversations about pants and pop music can the same people have? Politics are about the only things that do change, but there so much bitter partisanship along with it. (Before anyone points the finger at me, there are four pointing back at you. It takes two to tango.) I'll take some flack for this, young millennials and zoomers are pretty poor posters. Maybe the worst of the lot are trolls catfishing as zoomer newbies, but it has the same effect. They simply aren't as interesting or as literate as Gen X, some boomers, and our resident Silent Generation elder Shadowcat.

Finally, the obvious, our past time is in decline. The talent has gone down, the prices have gone up, the experience has lost its luster. Much like the film industry and television. You can't tiktok a lap dance, but that's what onlyfans is. We in-person, drink-in-hand, dollar-bills-on-the-stage PLs represent a diminishing breed. Enjoy it all -including this site- while you can, gentlemen.

As gammanu95 says, our past time is in decline. There is something slightly old fashioned about strip clubs with males treating females as sex objects while the females dress up and try be feminine and pleasing. The number of strip clubs have dropped by half here in Indianapolis in the fifteen years I have been going to them. There will always be some demand for them and a few of them around but not large numbers like in the past. I am glad I got to go when I did.
