Being a “regular”

How often do you go to a club, or get dances with a girl, before you’re a regular? Once weekly? Once monthly? The door guy remembers your name?

On a busy weekend night, when a server gets you your drink before you've even sit down -- and particularly when she asks if she can get a certain dancer for you -- then you know you're a regular.

Different people use the word differently. Sometimes customers will travel to a certain city once or twice a year. But, if they want to see the same dancer every time they go, and they spend big with her, she will likely consider them regulars. It's more about $ per year really. If she makes decent money with you frequently, or big money with you, but less often, she'll see you as a preferred customer. But there'll be little or nothing personal about it. And each dancer has her threshold for what's decent or big money.

I'm considered a regular at Hong Kong even though I don't have one favorite girl. It's just that I've been there so many times for the last 11 plus years. The regular staff knows me by sight and sometimes by name. The girls are a different story because they don't stay very long working consistently.

I would consider around the third or fourth time I do lap dances with a girl to fall into the regular category. By then she usually recognizes me as having picked her before and starts heading in my direction when I walk into the strip club. There have been times I only go to a club every couple months and I have a girl who remembers me and who comes to my table when she sees me.
