Fast Cash at OnlyFans University

foxnews.com

I've never been on OnlyFans and won't. Plenty of free places plus I prefer strip clubs. It's a shame that OnlyFans poaches on strip club girls, guess it's called "evolution" like "horseless carriages" did away with horses.

You can't get a VIP or LD on OnlyFans. The other downside: Muddy would just be wandering around with no place to go.

I get OnlyFans is way safer than working in strip clubs to make money. Using the cost of high tuition is a lousy excuse as there are excellent alternatives to these nose-bleed tuition scams students may never be able to monetize.

I'm curious to see the Internet traffic breakdown from colleges. Internet access isn't "free", there is no free lunch. If students are running a business, like OnlyFans or Chaterbate, it should blocked. In the corporate world, traffic is analyzed and access to certain sites is blocked - I understand dorm and office access is different. If students sell stuff on Etsy, that's a tad different as the amount of bandwidth is minimal compared to live streaming.

If students want to make money using the Internet, they can use their smartphone as a Hotspot, or buy a service like 5G Home Internet/LTE Home Internet from Verizon, it's only $35/month.

Funny, we must have been reading that article around the same time. I actually did follow a fave onto onlyfans. While there, I discovered other adult performers and faves that had faded away from the clubs and other media.

As a rule, I hate subscriptions. I like to buy something outright and own it, for better or worse. This is true for homes, cars, appliances, and access. I paid $99 one time for lifetime VIP access here on TUSCL. Paying a recurring fee when you never know how much you are or are not going to use a service, what the quality or quantity of posts will be, etc is not something I choose to do (Fuck you, Netflix and Disney+). Even worse, many of the onlyfans performers add a second PPV level within onlyfans where you pay additional money for additional access to specific content. Fuck that greedy-ass shit. That is online ROB behavior.

I graduated from college before high speed internet access was commonplace in dorm rooms. I remember most students used the computer labs and only the rare and privileged few had personal desktops in their rooms. Fewer still had laptops, and all used LAN cords. Loading Pam Anderson's latest nudes was measured in minutes. Does anyone else remember NetScape? The cost of DSL access for us was figured into dorm costs, as broadband would be today. With most of the current generation of college students watching everything online (YouTube, Netflix, Paramount+) instead of on cable or OTA, the impact of onlyfans on internet speeds should be moot.

However, as a parent or an educator, we know that everything is forever on the internet. Incels like the Idaho student killer or the recent MN school shooter (no names) can see that Susie Doe likes rubbing her snatch and telling him how hot she is for him online, but snubs him irl. Those guys aren't wired right to adjust their expectations, compartmentalize rejection, and move on in a healthy fashion. The reaction of people today and 15 years from now when they find your online content can be catastrophic and traumatic. Even people who did porn when they were broke young adults and have gone on to start careers in teaching or real estate are losing their jobs and reputations when those old videos surface (and of course all the ones currently on OF).

If you or a parent, godparent, or favorite uncle, you need to teach children not to even get started chasing that easy money. That is the only way they can protect themselves from unintended consequences.

They dont lead clubs to be on onlyfans. They dont kake enough money on it. They use it to keep in touch with regulars and use the club to get subscribers. Its just a little finesse

Looks like I go back a few more years than you. I worked like 20 hours a week while in college and lived at home, and more in the Summer. I never saw the dorm life as something I wanted.

I grew-up in Syracuse and went to SU just as my grandfather, dad and brother did. My family was upper-middle class and we lived in a nice middle-class neighborhood. Tuition wasn't a question as it wasn't stupid expensive as it is today even with inflation over time, and when I graduated I had like $2,500 in loans, and I lived on a basement apartment my last year before moving to Colorado Springs moving up in my career.

I did do SUNY Community College (Cayuga County Community College) to get my basic classes on the cheap. After I graduated, I worked at GE in Syracuse and they covered my grad CompSci and engineering tuition as long as I had good grades. Years later, I did an MBA in Colorado Springs while I was at MCI, and they too covered my tuition.

The repercussions of everything staying on the Internet forever is a problem as many don't realize it, INCLUDING many adults, and especially elected politicians who could keep their real agendas quiet back in the day - NOPE, not anymore.

Things really took off after Clinton and "The Cigar" to be normalized. I get that morals change over time, not denying that for a second. In 1940s/50s movies when people had sex, you saw "fireworks", now you see The Full Monty.

Still, I prefer strip clubs. Wish I had known about the $99 VIP Lifetime back in the day; I've know about TUSCL since about 2001 when I started a lot of work travel. I'll pay annually to help support the site as a website does take a lot of work even if you enjoy coding. I would have taken the $99 deal had I known.

I don't do only fans. nor any of these internet chat rooms. I did a little bit of that many years ago but bottom line... I want to see and touch my girls in person.

as to TUSCL lifetime membership... I should have... I could have... I would have... had I been not so stupid back then when I had the opportunity.

I lived in a frat with 29 other people and shared one phone. I used it less than 20 times. Everything we did was face to face.

Ultra high speed internet is now ubiquitous on college campuses, there’s no putting that genie back in the bottle. Trying to restrict what users access is considered an attack on academic freedom, and is even a bigger deal for faculty than for students. Securing campus networks from unauthorized intrusion is a major budget item for universities, just as it is in the corporate world. OF is likely only a fraction of the total amount of streaming bandwidth flowing in and out of campus dorms and offices.

I have dabbled with OF in the past, but lost interest. I know several dancers that have had accounts, and it was a novelty to see them online when also seeing them in the club, but at the end of the day I want to feel tits in my mouth, not watch a screen. What fascinates me now is the massive growth of AI-generated models in IG, many that also have OF or other online streaming options. It’s nearly impossible to tell these AI women from the real thing, and they are all off the charts fucking gorgeous. So you can watch them flirt with you through AI-generated posts on IG, and then follow them right into OF if you wish. Somebody’s making a killing!

Universities don't pay a lot for bandwidth, at least not internet bandwidth.

And at least in Florida, most of them block porn. Also, I don't know the stats for sure, but I don't think a large percentage of students in the major Universities actually stay in the dorms. Those that do are likely on academic or athletic scholarships. I suspect most of the "college girls" doing onlyfans are doing so from their parents houses or their own apartments.

I'd guess a tiny fraction of internet bandwidth is identifiable as porn, though some may sneak through over VPN's or other channels where porn isn't the primary purpose.

Exactly why I provided my admittedly spoiled daughters with credit cards and access to Venmo cash when they left for college. I also paid for all tuition, rent, phone, car, insurance, etc. I realize that spoiling my kids like this might not lead to the perfectly adjusted young adult who had to work for everything, but it keeps them off the pole and off Onlyfans.

According to some AI summary:
“The average monthly income for an OnlyFans creator is around $150 to $250, but this figure is misleading as the vast majority of creators earn significantly less, while the top 1% capture a disproportionately large share of total earnings, with some mid-tier creators earning $1,000 to $10,000 monthly.”

My guess is the majority of college students and stay in a dorm are the ones enrolling straight out of high school and have a 12-18 hr course load. Those student maybe get an onlyfans just wanted their 15 minutes of feeling rebellious. They shut the WiFi off on their phone for a few minutes, take a selfie or two, be a part of the vast majority who earn far less than $150/month, and go about their lives because they are understandably too busy either studying or networking/partying to be dealing with the time commitment it takes to actually build clientele.

There may be a content creator who is more serious, and in the aforementioned “midtier and up” group. My guess is that most of them are either older (as in already 21+) and had already been doing content creation for a few years and are now finally wanting to take “vanilla credentials” more seriously OR they are enrolled in a community college that doesn’t have a strong student life/student housing scene. Most of their content creation is done off campus and the school is just a side thing in their life.

@Iknowbetter I do think parents supporting kids at college is good, I'd do same if I had kids. My parents covered my tuition, and paid for everything else. When I was in college in the late 1970s, it was very different than what we have today. I never did Spring Break. I did take one ski trip to Jackson Hole, WY with a group. I never cared for beach life or heavy drinking/partying.

I just had basic jobs starting 13 with a paper route - 6 nights plus Sunday morning - and I did it for 3 years. At 16, I next worked parttime at a nice department store, in the summer I did lawns/tree work (we referred to ourselves as Shrubbists, I was a Shubber ala "The Holy Grail) then my last 18 months I worked a few nights as a DJ - best job ever.

I finally read the article - or most of it. While I would believe that there are college coeds doing onlyfans, I don’t believe it’s as widespread or common as the article would suggest. I also doubt that anyone is doing onlyfans to pay for tuition - especially at the more expensive schools (or to pay off $500K in student loans). I have put 4 kids through college over the last decade - plus, so I feel like I know what the current student body (no pun intended) looks like at major universities. The kids, especially the hot sorority girls, are all extremely well supported from home, living in luxury accommodations, wearing designer clothes, and driving BMWs. Very different from what most of us experienced 30 - 40 years ago. But no one needs to sell naked pictures of themselves to make ends meet.
