Read up on the many reviews and posts on visiting Hong Kong and Zona Norte in Tijuana. I'll be there next month probably on a Monday and Tuesday and Wednesday... But I'm not sure which days yet. Just have your passport and hide most your money from the bandits with badges. Pretty sure you're really going to enjoy your time.

Unfortunately, I am just back from a Zona Norte trip, won't be there your dates.

Hopefully you find someone to go with, but if not, absolutely do not let that stop you from going. My first 4-5 trips to TJ were solo and were all epic adventures.

Let us know if you have questions and do post reports. I always love reading reviews that show Hong Kong through the eyes of a new patron.

Take Zona shuttle, It's the safest way.to and from Hong KongI tip a dollar or two usually but it's worth $5 if you're solo.

If you're solo two to $5 is appropriate tip.

But definitely reserve a room online HK Tijuana or tropical bar.

Stay at least two.nights. And if you feel the draw buy a VIP card at Hong Kong.I suggest Monday and Tuesday visits because of the discount. It'll cost you less than $100. and that includes the $40 deposit on a solo room.
