shit clubs are worth visiting again once in awhile cuz of the possibility you might find a gem that wasn't there before.
Taking one for the team is the civic duty of each TUSCL reviewer.
I’m really open-minded about sketchy looking, thinly reviewed places, and on some occasions actually have a good time. And I actually do consider it a contribution to the greater good of the TUSCL community to post a well deserved bad review. But there are places that are so dismal that I’ll just walk in, take things in briefly, and wheel around and walk back out, even if I’ve paid a cover. My life is getting shorter every moment

The Top40 list of clubs with the most unique reviews is probably closer to a representative list. It's not as skewed by homers who are VIP credit farming and shills. There's still value in the listing for leads, but once a guy really knows what they're doing nothing is going to replace dudes fucking around and finding out for themselves.
Visiting bad clubs made the entire hobby situation better for me. A shit club with subpar talent really helps with concentration. With much less to temptation to distract you can just focus on how the club works and hitting your goals
