Where to go for knowledge of a city’s best-kept secrets

Many years ago I went to Vegas for the first time and went to visit their fabled strip clubs.
Let’s just say that I was underwhelmed…
Yes, the girls were gorgeous but prices were outrageously high and mileage was outrageously low….
And, goes without saying that Extras were simply a nonstarter.
On my way back to my hotel, with balls bluer than the sky, I vented my frustration to the taxi driver.
It was then that I discovered that taxi drivers held the keys to the secret locations of their town!
This driver, and others who followed, introduced me to all of the places in town that could not be found on Google: Exclusive Clubs, Bars and Spas where one could find some REAL fun!
And so, my trip to Vegas went from zero to hero!!!!
But, alas, Taxis are no more… And Im pretty sure that Uber drivers don’t get offered the same benefits as taxi drivers once did.
So, my question is: with the near-complete disappearance of taxis - who would one go to for such information?? Who do you turn to for advice on a city’s secrets spots??
Like, theoretically, if someone was going to Miami and wanted to visit some fun places such as massage establishments by Latinas (not the low-end Chinese ones) that don’t advertise anywhere- where could one turn to?
Thank you!!!

last commentThere are still plenty of taxis in Vegas. I actually use taxis more than Uber in Vegas.

ISG is always a good place to check. The scope of that site goes beyond just the club scene.
Another good source is TUSCL DMs. If I'm traveling somewhere I haven't been before I'll read reviews of that area. Then I might send a DM or two to regular patrons in that area asking for more information.

Icey - get help, buddy. The only thing that would motivate someone to write such an aggressive comment on a stranger’s post is some deep-seated insecurity or some psychological problem. I’m sorry if that might still sound like autistic word salad to you (maybe big words confuse you?) - so lets keep it simple: get help. You need it.

Many years ago I was in Houston and got a lot of great information from a taxi driver. I suspected he wanted kickbacks but I decided to give him a shot and was not disappointed. He actually knew about some girls working out of apartments but that was 20 years ago. He said he liked picking up fares from people leaving strip clubs. I think I went to Treasures which was awesome back then.
Now I think there are sources on the internet that are pretty comprehensive. There were some back then but I was a lot greener. I think that was around the time I found tuscl.

Thanks boomer79 - yeah, that was certainly a lot easier. I wouldnt trust Craigslist or Locanto under any circumstances - so I’m really lost in terms of figuring out where/how to up the ante
