Why are they called strippers and strip clubs?

Twirling around a pole and removing their top doesn't qualify as a stripper to me
Last time I actually seen a stripper was at a lingerie show in the '70s where they actually removed more than one piece of clothing.

last commentIn the beginning it was called burlesque and the entertainers actually did a "Strip Tease". In the UK they call them lap dance clubs. Do they actually dance? Is a VIP room actually for very important people?

^ why do you park your car on the driveway, and drive your car on the parkway?

Come on. Club terms are very straightforward.
The strippers strip. A VIP room is VIP because of the service you pay for. Added privacy. Time. In some cases a bottle or food is included.
I remember like 10 years ago I went to a club where they wore gowns theyd take off. And they still have burlesque shows. Jumbos clown room in LA... Some themed burlesque is good.

Clothes on, music plays, dancing ensues, clothing comes off. How much clothing depends on the law and club. But you get the point. So is something and you’ve achieved the reason to be there. Come talk after you’ve performed and we’ll see where it goes!
