Man, I don’t like the idea of a transaction log on upvotes/downvotes.

In my opinion it’s much better for votes to be anonymous like on Reddit.

For instance Icey is often attacked or attacks others. From time to time he may say something that makes sense, that others can agree with. If votes are visible, I think Iceys posts will be heavily downvoted no matter what he says. If theyre invisible, people will focus more on the content of the comment than their personal opinions on the poster

The concept holds true even in elections. Can you imagine how many people would potentially vote differently if they knew that their family, friends, coworkers and associates would know how they were voting
